Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, which was one of the most iconic serials in the history of the Indian Television industry, is back on screens again. After going off air in 2008, nearly seventeen years later, 'Tulsi' and her 'Virani parivaar' are back on screen with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. However, along with the original family members, the new season also features some new characters, like 'Paridhi', 'Angad' and 'Ritik'. But how are they related to 'Tulsi Virani', and will this relation result in some drama? Here are all the details on the possible twists.

Are 'Angad' and 'Paridhi' the step-children of 'Tulsi Virani'? 

The first episode of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 aired on July 29, 2025, on Star Plus. In this very first episode, the show does a great job of giving hints about the upcoming drama and provides a base for conflicts among the members of the 'Virani' household. One of the major subjects of conflict could be the relationship of 'Tulsi', played by Smriti Irani, and the three new kids, 'Angad', 'Paridhi' and 'Ritik'. As per a report by Filmibeat, these three new additions to the family are step-children of 'Tulsi'. 

In the first episode, the dynamics of the three younger siblings become clear with 'Tulsi', especially that of 'Paridhi' and 'Angad'. As per the plot, 'Mihir' and 'Tulsi's daughter, 'Paridhi' (played by Shagun Sharma), feels ignored in the family and keeps talking to her boyfriend in secret. Meanwhile, 'Angad' (played by Rohit Suchanti) is quite understanding and explains to his sister that their mother, 'Tulsi', loves everyone equally. This interaction between the two hints towards a major conflict that can arise between the mother and daughter, especially if they are not related by blood. 

Possible twists and drama in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 

The storyline of 'Gayatri chachi' and her jealousy is a clear indication that a lot of family drama is going to occur in the show. In the first episode, 'Gayatri' is shown to be feeling sidelined in the family and hence wants to destroy 'Tulsi'. She even tells her son, 'Hemant', to take over the family property from 'Mihir' and 'Tulsi'. However, her son really looks up to the couple and states to his mother that he would never go against them. But in the coming episodes, viewers might get to see 'Gayatri' manipulating 'Hemant' against 'Mihir' and 'Tulsi', to create division among the family members. 

If the reports are to believe, the three younger siblings are adopted and not related to 'Tulsi', then that will also give rise to many twists. Some viewers are also of the opinion that the children could be 'Mandira's. This will make the drama even more interesting, as it will highlight the conflict between the mother who gave birth and the mother who raised the children. A lot of focus is also placed on the 'Virani' family business and property. So, a fight among the family members for inheritance could also be in the cards. 

Apart from that, the love interests of 'Paridhi', 'Angad' and 'Ritik' might also bring a lot of twists. Hints have already been given that 'Paridhi' is secretly in a relationship. Many fans are of the opinion that her boyfriend is going to be 'Payal's son. 'Payal' was the ex-fiance of 'Mihir', who wreaked havoc in his marital life with 'Tulsi'. However, as per reports, Jaya Bhattacharya, who played this role, won't be making her comeback on the show, so speculations are still rife about who is going to be 'Paridhi's boyfriend.
