Kusha Kapila, one of the most popular influencers, never skipped a chance to win the hearts of internet users with her content creation journey. She began on social media, and today, apart from that, she is an actress and even owns her own brand.
Social media has proved to be a platform that helps people earn and even become famous as influencers. However, the platform is as glamorous as it is dangerous, whether through hacking or judgments, which most content creators, especially females, have to face. Recently, a comedian used some questionable terms for female influencers, and Kusha Kapila didn't hold back from slamming him on social media.
In a world where people speak about equality, the judgments women have to go through are beyond imagination. The same happened when a comedian named Kaviraj Singh, during his live concert, termed female influencers as 's*x workers'. As surprising as it is, what was even more blood-boiling was that people even supported this stance, and laughed it off, without a single voice being raised against this derogatory remark. However, Kusha Kapila, a celebrated content creator, took to her social media handle and called out Kaviraj for his 'disgusting' comment.
She shared a video and penned that while this is 'disgusting', she is not 'shocked'. Kusha noted that female influencers have been targeted in this manner multiple times, and what's even more heartbreaking is the support these kinds of remarks are receiving. She also questioned the kind of culture that is being encouraged through such remarks, which is surely dangerous. Kusha wrote:
"See, the comic is aware of the consequences his words are going to have. He is saying this to get that exact reaction that he's been getting. Woh apna opinion nahi badlengey. But the most heartbreaking thing is the massive support he is getting, the donations being made, the culture that he is encouraging with his words which is dangerous and pushes us back by decades."
Going further in her note, Kusha Kapila penned that she has also been through this for seven years of her content creation journey, and no matter how many rallies have happened against this, nothing worked, so all that could be done is to 'call it out'. She mentioned that she's just worried about how these people, who supported Kaviraj's comment on social media, behave with women in real life.

Kusha Kapila further discussed the influence of such remarks, which are often categorised as 'art' or 'dark comedy', outside. She encouraged people to improve their lives. An excerpt from Kusha's long note can be read as:
"I also want people who are making content like this to know ki aise online behaviour offline badtameezi mein pakka manifest hota hai. Koi na koi aapka content dekh kar waise toxic behaviour offline karega. Aap to 'dark joke' maarkar nikal lengey, ek army of people empower ho jayegi ladkiyon ko gaali dene ke liye. Do better yaar. Do better. It's 2025 ffs."
Kaviraj Singh is a famous Indian comedian who is known for his sharp humour. He is a graduate from IIT Kanpur, and has an engineering background, which he left to pursue a career in comedy. His YouTube special, Are Women Becoming Men, garnered a lot of attention for his bold stance. He received a whole lot of flak for the same, as he kind of mimicked feminism, which triggered intense backlash as well.
