Remember 'Ae Nazneen Suno Na' Actor, Kunal Singh? Alleged Affair, Disturbed Marriage, Untimely Death

The entertainment world gave many talented stars, and within a short span of time, they made a permanent place in people’s hearts. However, for some, the glitter of glamour world is short-lived as they leave the industry or bid adieu to the world at a young age. One such actor, who left the world at untimely, is Kunal Singh.

Remember the shy actor, Kunal Singh, who was seen opposite actress, Sonali Bendre, in the film, Dil Hi Dil Mein? The handsome actor is still popular for his charming smile and had a very short span in the industry as he ended his life at the young age of 31. There were many conjectures to his death, but ultimately, it proved to be a suicide.

However, despite the successful life, Kunal was dealing with marital issues, and as per multiple reports, his wife left him and went to her parent’s home. Let us read on to know the lesser-known story of Kunal and his marital life.

Kunal Singh’s alleged affair broke his marriage

Kunal Singh made his debut in the romantic film, Kadhalar Dhinam in 1999, which was later dubbed into the Hindi film, Dil Hi Dil Mein. He was later seen in many South Indian films, but slowly his career took a backseat as his films were getting shelved. Soon, the actor turned his focus to production.

It was during that time when Kunal’s proximity to a co-star made its way to the headlines. His family was not happy with the rumours and cautioned him. On the other hand, Kunal’s wife, Anuradha also got to know about his closeness to his co-star, Lavina. This led to constant altercations between Kunal and his wife, Anuradha. Soon, she left Kunal’s home and went to her parents' house along with their daughters.

Kunal Singh tried ending his life previously

Kunal Singh was found dead in his Mumbai residence in 2008. But before that, the actor tried to end his life on many occasions. One of the police officers, who investigated Kunal’s death revealed that the actor was disturbed with his failing career and marriage and slashed his wrist previously, but didn’t succeed.

Kunal Singh committed suicide while his alleged girlfriend was present at his home

On February 7, 2008, Kunal was found hanging from the ceiling of his Mumbai residence, by actress and his alleged girlfriend, Lavina Bhatia. As per the officials, Kunal placed a large suitcase on top of a chair climbed on it and used a bedsheet to tie the noose. While he committed suicide, Lavina was present in his house and went to the bathroom for 10 minutes.

While it looked like an open and shut case, Kunal’s father pointed out many loopholes and requested a re-investigation. He felt that his son was murdered as there were bruise marks on his body. Kunal’s father stated that the actor texted music director, Dabu Mallik an hour before his death and invited him to his home. The case was re-opened and handed over to CBI, who examined it from all possible angles. Since CBI could not find any foul play, they closed the case stating it to be a suicide.

Kunal Singh was a talented actor, who melted many hearts with his charm. His untimely death not just shattered his family, but his fans too.
