Despite appearing in a series of blockbuster films, Kulbhushan Kharbanda is best known for playing the iconic villain, 'Shakaal', in the 1980 film, Shaan that took his career to a completely different stature. The character was inspired by James Bond's villain, 'Ernst Stavro Blofeld', but Kulbhushan gave 'Shakaal' its identity, adding it to the list of Indian cinema's most iconic villains.
