Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi fame, Ashlesha Savant and her long-time partner, Sandeep Baswana have finally made it official after dating for more than two decades. For the unversed, on November 16, 2025, Ashlesha tied the knot with her boyfriend, Sandeep at Vrindavan’s Chandrodaya temple. A while ago, the actress took to her Instagram handle and shared the dreamy pictures from their intimate wedding. In a recent interview, Sandeep revealed their reason behind getting married.

For the uninitiated, Ashlesha Savant and Sandeep Baswana crossed paths in 2002 when they worked together in the hit show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Over the years, the pair became stronger and now after 23 years of dating, the couple have taken the next step to their long-term relationship. On November 23, 2025, Ashlesha shared the snaps from their fairy tale wedding. The marriage ceremony was an intimate affair with only their families in attendance. For their special day, Ashlesha wore a baby pink saree, while ivory hued sherwani. Sharing the snaps, Ashlesha wrote:

"And just like that, we stepped into a new chapter as Mr & Mrs…Tradition found its way into our hearts. We are filled with gratitude for all the blessings."

Sandeep Baswana reveals reason behind getting married to Ashlesha Savant

In a recent interview with ETimes, Sandeep Baswana revealed why he and Ashlesha got married after being together for 23 years. He shared that earlier, this year in April 2025, he and the actress visited Vrindavan and felt a deep connection with the Radha Krishna temples. He expressed that the trip inspired them to get married. He mentioned that their parents were the happiest as they longed for this day. He added that they wanted to keep the wedding 'simple'. He was quoted as saying:

"Ashlesha and I visited Vrindavan in April and felt a deep connect with the Radha Krishna temples there. That trip inspired us to get married after being together for 23 years. Our parents are the happiest - they've been waiting for this for a long time. We wanted to keep it simple, and what better than getting married in a Lord Krishna temple."

Further in the same interview, Sandeep’s better half, Ashlesha expressed her happiness and gratitude about getting hitched to the 'love of her life'. She highlighted that the decision to get married was a 'sudden' one. She called Vrindavan the 'ideal place' to get married. She added that they wanted to keep their wedding low-key with only families' attendance.

Sandeep Baswana opens up about the difference after getting married

Further in the interview, Sandeep was asked about his feelings after tying the knot with Ashlesha. In response Sandeep said that there has been no such difference. He also quipped that he and Ashlesha were tired explaining to people why they are not getting married even after staying together for so many years. He was quoted as saying:

"In my mind, Ashlesha and I were always married. I don't feel anything different. It was something we were going to do someday, and it finally happened. We're happy, and overwhelmed by the love and blessings."
