Popular actress, Kritika Kamra is known for her stint on television shows, including Kitani Mohabbat Hai, Kuch Toh Log Kahenge, Prem Ya Paheli - Chandrakanta, and many more. Apart from this, she was seen in the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa in 2014 and in films, including Anubhav Sinha's Bheed. Now, we got a sneak peek into her rental home in Mumbai, which she decorated into a pastel paradise with the help of her close friend and interior designer, Purva Agrawal.

Kritika Kamra's rental apartment in Mumbai home is 'a home for her 30s'

In a virtual tour of her rental apartment in Mumbai with Architectural Digest (AD), Kritika Kamra talked about the spacious flat which she turned into her 'home for her 30s'. She shared her thoughts about decorating the apartment on the higher floors, which is best suitable for her shoots and offices. However, she mentioned that this home was not a permanent house for her, but she wanted to feel it just like her home. She added:

“I may be an actor, but I didn’t want my posters and pictures splayed across the walls… I don’t even have a dresser with lights. I spend so much time in trailers that I needed this house to be my homely oasis. You won’t see the actor side of me here. This is not my family home, my parents don't live with me, and I know this is not a permanent house. For me, this is the house of my 30s."

Upon entering Kritika's apartment, we get to see a spacious living room with aesthetic corners specially decorated in order to match her free spirit and a relaxed, European cottage-style vision. We spotted a light-filled space filled with pastel pieces of furniture, including pink sofas, artworks in varied colours hanging above it, a huge rug, two striped corner stands and lamps, a golden-rimmed centre table and two wooden chairs with upholstery. The home also showcases the actress' love for Indian textiles, and we can spot white curtains, striped wooden chairs, another rug and some more decor items suited for the best study corner.

Not only this, it seems that every corner of Kritika's home is beautifully decorated in order to match the varied kinds of vibes. For instance, next is another corner in Kritika's living room, which comes with a grey modular couch and rows, nude-coloured cushions, and rows of frames hanging above it. Moreover, the other corner of her house, mainly the dining space, has a subtle sophistication and a relaxed vibe. The space is filled with a white seating area with wooden chairs, a uniquely carved dining table, a charming pink marble pendant light along with frames and some more. The dining space is connected to a well-spaced balcony, which is differentiated by pati frames to prevent rainwater and light from directly entering the place.

We also spotted the muted-toned ikat wallpapers, which enhanced the serenity of the entire place. The multiple green plants in the verandah, along with a white-hued swing, also filled the place beautifully. Moreover, a white-hued bone inlay side table with a touch of green plants is attached to the kitchen area alongside two high-raised chairs in neutral shades, a mint green fridge, blush pink cabinets and a few more pastel items.

Kritika Kamra's bedroom

Kritika's apartment has three bedrooms- one is used as her master bedroom, the other one for guests, and the third one is used as a media room that is a specially designed space for shoots. Talking about her master bedroom, the space has a cosy look yet a minimal vibe. It featured a wooden bed with a backrest covered in caning fabric, wooden side tables adorned with books and ceramic vases, huge ceiling-to-floor touching curtains, wall hangings and elegant lamps hanging from the ceiling on both sides.

On the other hand, the guest bedroom featured a subtly different, fresh vibe. It has a mint blue wall, a muted blue bed with similar and green-hued cushions, side tables with metallic lights and a minimalist sanctuary frame. Finally, ending the conversation with AD, both Kritika and her designer, Purva opened up about their biggest lesson in renovating a rental home by not spending too much on things that one can't take away to their next space. They shared:

“And even if you are going to spend on immovable stuff for the house, there are good quality pieces and materials in the market that you can get at a bargain or an affordable price."
