Many Bollywood actresses have mesmerised their fans with their versatility on screen, but only a few have made it on their own. Kriti Sanon is one of them. The actress, who had no connections in Bollywood, carved her own path and became one of the most successful actresses of B-town.
Born in Delhi, Kriti would have been an engineer if not an actress. She has been a studious child since school and has pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication from Jaypee Institute of Information and Technology. Along with her college, Kriti pursued modelling and went on to feature in commercials for Close Up, Amul, Vivel, and many others. Let us look at some unknown facts about Kriti.

Many people believe that Kriti Sanon made her acting debut with Tiger Shroff in the 2014 film Heropanti. But the actress actually made her acting debut in the Telugu film, 1: Nenokkadine, opposite South sensation, Mahesh Babu. Her work in the film was hugely appreciated by the audience and critics.
As Kriti Sanon made her big Bollywood debut opposite Tiger Shroff in Heropanti, the actress was overshadowed by Tiger’s fame. She was tagged as Tiger’s heroine, and kids used to call her ‘Tiger Didi’. In an interview with the Indian Express, Kriti recalled the same and revealed:
“When you are not from the industry (film family), it takes longer for you to etch your name and face into the minds of people. At that point, the kids of Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, who later directed Bareilly Ki Barfi, used to call me ‘Tiger didi.’ Those were the instances when I realised I would have to work doubly hard to get people to recognise me and know me for who I am.”
Kriti Sanon had a fear of deep water. However, she overcomes the same while filming for her 2016 film, Raabta. For the film, the actress took scuba diving training and also polished her skills in horse riding and swordplay.

Kriti has completed a decade in the film industry, and over the years, she has carved a name for herself without any Godfather. With films like Dilwale, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Luka Chuppi, Bhediya, Adipurush, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Crew and many more, Kriti has proved her versatility as an actress. While filming Raabta, it was reported that Kriti Sanon and Sushant Singh Rajput were dating. Though their appearances and pictures on social media made fans wonder, the duo never addressed the rumours. Well, Kriti also named her production house 'Blue Butterfly Films', which also had a connection to Sushant, as he would often use this sign. Later, she was rumoured to be dating her Adipurush co-star, Prabhas. But soon, the actress cleared the air by calling the rumours baseless.
As per the latest rumours, Kriti is in a steady relationship with UK-based businessman, Kabir Bahia. Kriti and Kabir seemingly fuelled their relationship rumours, as the duo shared photos on their respective IG handles with a unique connection. On July 31, 2024, Kriti posted some pictures with her sister from her trip to Mykonos, in which she was seen wearing a black-hued floral-printed shrug. On the same day, Kabir also posted a photo of himself with his friends wearing a shrug, which looked completely similar to Kriti's.
