Ex-HR, Kristin Cabot Caught In A Kissing Scandal With Married Boss, Reveals Her 14-Yr-Old's Reaction

Kristin Cabot, the ex-HR of Astronomer, made headlines when she was caught in a kissing scandal with her married boss, Andy Byron. The two were spotted in July 2025, at a Coldplay concert as they were lost in each other's embrace. On being caught, the two instantly regretted their decision. However, it was their families who suffered most. Now, Kristin Cabot recalled her 14-year-old daughter's reaction to the whole controversy. 

Kristin Cabot revealed how her 14-year-old daughter reacted to her kissing controversy

In an interview with The New York Times, Kristin revealed that her actions affected her 14-year-old daughter as she cried her heart out due to the headline-making ordeal. She stated that they were already in a bad shape, and that's when thing fell apart. Her children thought that she was going to die and that they would also die. Kristin revealed that she informed her children about the situation she was in with Andy. She said:

"They were already in really bad shape, and that’s when the wheels fell off the cart. Because my kids were afraid that I was going to die and they were going to die. They knew who Andy was, obviously. And I said, ‘He and I got very swept up in a moment and now it’s on social media.'"

Kristin Cabot admitted that decision to be with Andy Byron wasn't right one. So, she took accountabilitiy and gave up on her career. She stated that she wanted to make her children learn from her mistake. She wanted to give them lesson that it was okay to mistake but one should take responsibility for it. She shared:

"I took accountability and I gave up my career for that. That’s the price I chose to pay. I want my kids to know that you can make mistakes, and you can really [mess] up."

Further, in the interview, she revealed that she was newly separated from her husband, Andrew Cabot. In a weak moment, she ended up getting cosied up with her married boss on a Jumbotron. Kristin went on to confess that she made a bad decision at that time and ended up with her boss, which wasn't right. She further stated that she took accountability for the mistake she made, gave up her career, and paid the price. She was quoted as saying:

"I made a bad decision and had a couple of High Noons and danced and acted inappropriately with my boss. And it's not nothing. I took accountability and I gave up my career for that. That’s the price I chose to pay."

In July, a clip from a Coldplay concert went viral after the frontman, Chris Martin, accidentally revealed a secret affair of one of the tech executives. It was an awkward scene at the live concert, but things took a turn when the video surfaced on the internet. The man was soon identified as Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer. 

According to Byron's LinkedIn profile, which is now deleted, he serves as the CEO of Astronomer, a software development company. On the other hand, the lady seen with him holds the position of the firm's Chief People Officer, with her LinkedIn profile stating that she wins 'trust with employees of all levels from CEOs to managers to assistants.'
