The year 2024 has been bringing immense joy for Indian cricketer, Venkatesh Iyer. At first, the all-rounder grabbed much attention with his performance in the IPL 2024, while playing on behalf of the Shah Rukh Khan-owned team, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Following this, Venkatesh and his team also lifted the IPL 2024 trophy, adding to the immense cheering. Now, he has also taken a plunge in his personal life and got married to the love of his life, Shruti Raghunathan, at a South Indian wedding ceremony on June 2, 2024. Soon, the couple’s wedding photos started going viral on social media.
In one of the photos, we can spot the lovely varmala moment of Venkatesh Iyer and his fiancee, Shruti Raghunathan. For the ritual, the cricketer was wearing a white-hued dhoti with green and golden borders. On the other hand, Shruti looked pretty in a blue saree with intricate golden embroidery. She teamed her look with traditional jewellery, glam makeup, braided hairdo adorned with gajras.

Following this, for the next rituals of their wedding, while Venkatesh continued wearing the same attire, his then-bride-to-be opted for a rani pink-hued saree with green borders and teamed it with an embellished blouse. This time, she kept her hair tied in a ponytail and opted for only a single broad necklace. For the wedding, Venkateshwar got decked up in a yellow-hued dhoti and twinned with his then-bride-now-wife, who too, looked pretty in another traditional avatar.
For the unversed, Venkatesh Iyer and Shruti Ragunathan got engaged on November 21, 2023. Post-engagement, taking to his IG handle, the cricketer shared a couple of photos from the same. For the event, while the cricketer donned a kurta with pyjamas, Shruti looked pretty in a traditional saree. Along with the photos, he wrote:
“On to the next chapter of my life #engaged.”

While Venkteshwar rose to fame with his performance in the IPL 2023 grounds, his wife, Shruti works as a Merchandise Planner at Lifestyle International Private Limited in Bengaluru. As per reports, the celebrity wife pursued her BCom degree from PSG College of Arts and Science in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. She also earned a Master’s degree in Fashion Management from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
