The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on the mental health of a lot of people. Despite these tough times, it is necessary to stay positive. In telly town, there are a lot of actresses, who are going to be mommy soon. One such actress is Kishwer Merchantt, who is going through this beautiful phase in her life. However, it is very much necessary for her to take care of herself and the baby as well. The actress shared her take on her pregnancy.

Kishwer Merchantt, who had met the love of her life, Suyyash Rai on the sets of the show, Pyaar Kii Yeh Ekk Kahaani had fallen in love with each other and it was on the reality show, Bigg Boss 9, that they had made their relationship public. It was in 2011, that the duo had started dating and had tied the knot in 2016. After five years of marital bliss, the couple had announced their pregnancy in March 2021. Kishwer had taken to her IG handle to share the news and had written, "We are Pregnant" @suyyashrai."
In a recent interview with the Hindustan Times, Kishwer shared that the timing of her pregnancy was wrong at such difficult times when we are surrounded by negative news all the time, one has to stay strong. She said, "I just feel that the timing has been really bad. I never imagined that my pregnancy would be like this-stuck at home and not being able to go out and that I have to be very careful about every move that I make."

Kishwer regrets that she had thought that she would have a chilled pregnancy but things turned to be another way round. She added, "I had thought it to be chilled out, travel around, and meet my friends." However, mommy-to-be, Kishwer has not yet lost all hopes and looked at the brighter side of things. She stated, "Somehow, it is a blessing in disguise because at least Suyyash and I spent some time together. Matlab oh nahi toh yeh hi sahi (if not that then e ill make do with this only)."

Kishwer Merchantt, who is due to deliver her first baby in August reflected on her pregnancy experience during the pandemic and has expressed that she had to be strong. She added, "I also abt to tell all the women who are expecting that try and do different things, stay happy and positive even when so much is going on. Just keep your mind occupied with other stuff. It's very dangerous to get into the negative zone, so just stay away."
