Kishwer Merchant Reveals Husband, Suyyash Rai Wants 'Baby Girl' As Second Child, 'I Don't Think...'

Kishwer Merchant and Suyyash Rai are one of the most popular couples in the Hindi TV industry. The couple has been happily married for over a decade now. The duo has never shied away from admitting that they share a significant age gap. They grabbed a lot of attention for their stint on the TV show, Bigg Boss 9. Kishwer and Suyyash are parents of a son, Nirvair. In a recent interview, the TV actress revealed that Suyyash wants a second child.

TV couple, Kishwer Merchant and Suyyash Rai, recently appeared on a podcast hosted by TV actress, Rashami Desai. During the conversation, Suyyash got candid and shared his wish to have a second child. He said that while he wants a baby girl, he thinks that Kishwer doesn’t want one. Hearing this, Kishwer shared that as she is 44 years old now, she doesn’t think she can do it. Hearing her response, Rashami said, "People do it in their 50s also. You're so fit and everything, so don't think like that." Kishwer was quoted as saying:

"Rashami, he already wants a baby girl so badly, so don't remind him about all this. I'm 44, and I don't think I can do it now."

Suyaash Rai calls his son, Nirvair, a 'miracle child'

In the same conversation, Kishwer shared that it wasn’t a planned child, but they accepted their first child, Nirvair, with open arms. The TV actress mentioned that two weeks before realising that she was pregnant with Nirvair, she told her mom that they were pet parents and didn’t want to have a child. So when she told her mom about her pregnancy, she was surprised. Suyyash added, "He's a miracle child. I'm very happy to have him in my life." Kishwer was quoted as saying:

"It wasn't a planned child, but we just accepted him with open arms. Two weeks before realising that I was pregnant, we told my mom that we were pet parents and we didn't want to have a child. However, after two weeks, I was standing in front of my mother and saying, 'I'm pregnant.' She was like, 'What? How did you manage in two weeks?' We conceived in November, and I didn't know. In January, I realised that I had skipped my periods, which meant I was pregnant."

Kishwer and Suyyash never shied away from admitting that they share an age of 8 years. During the same conversation, Suyyash opened up about the following. He proudly said that his wife is eight years older than him and has seen more of life. He mentioned that she has been in the industry before him and has spent eight or nine years more. He lauded Kishwer for her hard work. He revealed that his wife has been in the industry consistently for twenty-five years now. He was quoted as saying:

"If she's eight years older than me, then yes, she has seen more of life. If she has been in the industry for eight or nine years before me, then she has seen much more than I have. So if she has the experience, the fame, and the name, that belongs to her-she worked hard for it, she earned it. How can I even feel insecure thinking she's more famous than me? Dude, she's been there for twenty-five years. Show me anyone who can stay in this industry for twenty-five years, with dignity and consistent work. It's no joke."
