'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' Fame, Kiran Recalls Explosive Fight With 'Ego Driven' Smriti Irani

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is back with its season two, and fans cannot help their excitement over it. The makers have left no stone unturned in adding major twists and turns to their episodes, and have even added some fresh faces along with the iconic 'Tulsi' and 'Mihir'. However, as the show progresses, actress, Kiran Dubey seems to be recalling some rifts from 25 years ago and her explosive fight with the lead actress, Smriti Irani. 

Kiran Dubey recalls her experience working with Smriti Irani in OG Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi

Kiran Dubey essayed the role of 'Karishma Virani Dey' in the first season of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. However, she left everyone shocked when the news of her explosive green room fight with Smriti Irani came to light. Now, in a conversation with Vicky Lalwani, the actress has reflected on the same and shared that she didn't have a pleasant experience working with fans' beloved 'Tulsi'. She stated:

"She told me to leave the room. It was not pleasant to continue working on the show after that. I agree that we had different ideologies, but she got pumped up."

Kiran Dubey comments on Smriti Irani's political career

In the same conversation, Kiran Dubey also made some shocking comments about Smriti Irani's political career and if she was surprised to see Smriti make a comeback to TV after such a long political stint. Kiran shared that when someone is in such a strong position, they should use that platform to empower people at the grassroots level. She added that if someone steps out in Mumbai, within a few kilometres, they would see people struggle to find water.

In the same conversation, Kiran added that being given such a massive platform should not be used as a 'self-centred ego-driven' trip. She added that Smriti could have used her platform to empower children and women, to be someone they could be proud of. However, she didn't see that happen. She shared that she has no interest in listening to someone's success story unless they have used that platform for some good. She stated:

"When you have a huge platform, you should not use it for a self-centred, ego-driven trip. It could have been used to empower children, to empower women, to be that voice we all wanted to be proud of, but I did not see that happen. I was told that Smriti Irani Ji is there and she is the main speaker. While she was talking I left because I am not interested in anybody's story about I came from such humility and look at where I am today. Well, what are you doing with what you have got?"

Kiran reveals Ekta Kapoor was told a fake story

In the same conversation, Kiran Dubey also mentioned her experience working with Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi's producer, Ekta Kapoor. She revealed that calming Ekta down was not an easy task and revealed that she never put any money as a priority and believed in taking a stand for herself. She added that the information being conveyed to Ekta was not true. However, Shobha Kapoor called her up to know her side of the story. She further praised Ekta for listening to her side of the story and apologised to her.
