These clips were shared on her joint account with her mother, Kim Kardashian and went viral in no time. While netizens had mixed reactions to the look, it has incited a new issue between her parents, Kim Kardashian and Kanye. What did Kim Kardashian say about her daughter, North's fake tattoos and piercings? 

The online debate over North West's appearance took a sharper turn when Kanye West reportedly reacted to it. Amid the backlash, Kim Kardashian has publicly defended her daughter and called the controversy 'a non-issue'. The beauty mogul took to the comment section of a TikTok video made on criticising North's appearance and penned, "This is such a non-issue" with a crying emoji tattoo. The 45-year-old reality TV star stood firm on her stance that North was simply experimenting with her temporary tattoos and piercings for fun. 

However, Kim Kardashian's relax attitude was a complete contrast to Kanye's outburst where showcasing their different approaches to parenting. According to Poprant, Kanye has accused Kim of 's**ualising' their daughter and allowing her to 'grow up too fast'. Sources claimed that he even sent Kim multiple angry messages and allegedly threatened legal action over North's public image. The rapper allegedly believes that North's exposure to social media and mature styles is irrelevant for her age. It has reportedly added to the already brewing tension between the ex-couple.

Kim Kardashian opened up about the criticism over her 12-year-old daughter's 'corset' look

This is not the first time Kim Kardashian has addressed North's growing interest in fashion and beauty, which has often drawn criticism. During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast on October 15, 2025, Kim opened up about her daughter's confidence and changing style. She revealed that her daughter is more mature than her age and confident about trying different looks. However, Kim admitted that she made a mistake as a parent of a pre-teen when her daughter was trolled for wearing a corset, miniskirt and knee-high boots. In Kim's words:

"She's really mature in one sense where she'll be like, 'Mom, I saw this, and I don't really care that they don't like my blue hair or this or that. As a mom, you're kind of learning at the same time… Sometimes we make mistakes in front of the whole world."
