What seemed like a normal December morning turned tragic for the Nadagouda couple as their four-year-old son passed away in a tragic elevator accident. The entire Kannada film industry is devastated as Kirtan Nadagouda and his wife, Samrudhi Patel Nadagouda, face their worst nightmare. 

Who is Kirtan Nadagouda's wife, Samrudhi Patel Nadagouda?

Kirtan Nadagouda's wife, Samurdhi Patel Nadagouda, is a certified makeup artist. She also runs a professional Instagram account, where she shares glimpses of the bride and the kind of makeup styles she has expertise in. Apart from it, Samrudhi also shares glimpses of her life on her personal Instagram account. Kirtan and Samrudhi completed eight years of marital bliss in May 2025.

What happened to Kirtan Nadagouda and his wife, Samrudhi Patel's four-year-old son

As per Kannada Prabha, Kirtan and his wife, Samurdhi, are dealing with the most shocking day of their life as they lost their four-and-a-half-year-old son, Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagouda. It all happened after the little one got trapped inside a lift. As per reports, the incident happened in the blink of an eye. Despite all efforts to save him, the boy couldn't be rescued in time. 

The close family describes it as the most shocking demise. Recalling Kirtan's son, Sonarsh, they shared he was a lively, cheerful child, and his absence has created an irreplacable void. Friends and colleagues are still in shock, while many are struggling to come to terms with the unfateful news.  

As the news surfaced, people from across the film fraternity expressed their condolences. Actors, technicians, and well-wishers extended their support to the grieving parents. Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan, also took to X and shared his condolences. He offered prayer and strength to Kirtan and his wife, during this unimaginable time. He wrote:

"The tragic death of director Sri Kirtan Nadagowda's son is heartbreaking. The tragedy that befell the family of Sri Kirtan Nadagowda, who is making his directorial debut in Telugu and Kannada, has left me deeply saddened. Chiranjeevi Sonarsh K. Nadagowda, son of Sri Keerthan and Smt. Samriddhi Patel passed away."

Pawan Kalyan also revealed that Sonarsh was stuck in a lift, which took his life. He prayed for courage for the couple to overcome the grief that their son had left them with. He wrote:

“I was deeply saddened to learn about the death of four-and-a-half-year-old Sonarsh, who got stuck in a lift. I express my deepest condolences to Sri Kirtan and Smt. Samriddhi. I pray to the Almighty to give the couple the courage to overcome the grief of their son.”

For the unversed, Kirtan Nadagouda works in the direction field. He has been part of the directors' team of many Kannada films. However, he gained fame while working with Prasanth Neel as a co-director on the superhit films such as KGF and Salaar. He is also soon going to make his debut in the Telugu industry with a horror film backed by Mythri Movie Makers and Neel.
