'Frasier' Star, Kelsey Grammer Becomes A Father Again At 70, Welcomes Baby No. 8 With Fourth Wife

Allen Kelsey Grammer, professionally known as Kelsey Grammer, is an American actor, producer, and singer. He rose to fame for his role as 'Dr Frasier Crane' on the NBC sitcom, Cheers, and its spin-off, Frasier. However, lately, the actor has been making headlines for his personal life, specifically the arrival of his eighth child at the age of 70.

Kelsey Grammer and his wife, Kayte Walsh, have welcomed a little angel to their family. The actor became a father again at 70 and shared the joyous news during his appearance on the Pod Meets World podcast on October 27, 2025 (ET). While discussing his memoir about his late sister, Karen: A Brother Remembers, he revealed that he and his wife, Kayte Walsh, 'just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids'. The Cheers alum further added:

"It was like three days ago. Christopher, that's just joined the family."

Kelsey Grammer and his wife, Kayte Walsh, have been married for 13 years already and share a daughter, Faith (12), and sons, Gabriel and James, who are 10 and 8, respectively. The X-Men star also shares daughter Spencer (41) with his first wife, Doreen Alderman; daughter Greer (33) with ex-wife Barrie Buckner; and daughters Mason (23) and Jude (20) and son Jude (20) with his third wife, Camille Meyer.

The news about the latest addition to Kelsey Grammer's family first broke when Kayte Walsh was still carrying their child. The couple was photographed together in London in June 2025. During an interview with PEOPLE, shortly before the pair's trip to England, Kelsey opened up about being a dad to seven and how he was "playing catch-up" with his older kids. He was quoted as saying:

"I have neglected a couple of the kids in my life, especially the first two. I'm trying to make up for a little of it now. I'm still their dad, so you can always show up. I probably should have been a little clearer and maybe less tolerant with the older ones. I'm pretty tolerant with the young ones, but I'm clear about how there are certain expectations and certain ways to navigate through a social situation: keep it close to the vest and play it straight, and you're going to be well-served in your life."

In the same conversation, Kelsey Grammer also reflected on being a dad and what he has focused on for his kids. The Simpsons' voice actor also reflected on how he met his current wife, Kayte Walsh. He revealed he met her during a flight to London in 2009. For the unversed, Kayte is a former flight attendant. He was still legally married to Meyer at the time, and the demise of the pair's relationship was documented during Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Further talking about their relationship, he stated:

"We actually met in the air on a plane to England. It was very romantic, and she was working on the plane. We went out for coffee several days later and had this magical night in the snow in London around Christmas time."
