Baby John actress, Keerthy Suresh married her boyfriend for 15 years, Antony Thattil on December 12, 2024. The couple had a traditional South Indian wedding in Goa, and their closest family members and friends were in attendance. However, do you know that the actress and Antony had been planning the wedding since 2022? Keerthy spilled beans from her personal life and also shared her views on public display of affection.
Keerthy, in a recent interview with Galatta India, revealed how she and Antony have been deciding on getting married in 2022. It is interesting to note that only a handful of people from the industry knew that she was dating Antony, her now husband. Keerthy also spoke on how she and Antony do not believe in the concept of showcasing PDA. In Keerthy's words:
"Infact we have been planning this wedding from 22 April, 2022. Almost for a year and a half or more and we still manage. I thought it would come out way earlier. You know somehow we managed to get it out in October and all these years because we both are people who like to keep our personal things as private as possible. Even as a person, Thattil is a person who is very media shy, and we don't walk around holding our hands. I mean we are not that kind of a couple. It's not because we are media shy or anything, but I think we just can't do any PDA. Not used to that."
Keerthy, going ahead in the interview, shared that only her trustworthy, closest friends knew that she was seeing Antony. From the industry, Sam (Samantha Ruth Prabhu) knew, Jagadish (Palanisamy) who had been a part of the journey from the beginning, Atlee, Priya, Vijay sir, Kalyani (Priyadarshan), Aishwarya Lekshmi knew about her love affair. Keerthy also shared that she was very skilled in staying low-profile as no one till 2024 had got to know about their hush-hush wedding. The actress also revealed that it was in 2017 when she and Antony went for a solo trip for the first time abroad.
Earlier, in an interview with News 18, she revealed that she was the one who started the first conversation with Antony on Orkut when she was in class 12. He was her senior by seven years and was reportedly in Qatar. Keerthy took credit for flirting with him, who proposed to her after 15 years. Keerthy said:
"We go back to Orkut days, I took the initiative to hit on this guy. We were chatting for a good one month before we met at a restaurant. I was with my family, and I couldn’t meet him, so I winked at him and left. Later, I said, if you have the guts, propose to me, dude. He first proposed to me in 2010 and things got serious in 2016. He gave me a promise ring I never removed till we got married, you can even see it in all my films."
