Kavya Gowda's Husband Stabbed During Family Clash, Brother-In-Law Tried To Raise Hand On Daughter

Famous Kannada television actress, Kavya Gowda's name was dragged in the headlines after her husband, Somashekar, was injured during a family dispute. The incident occurred on January 26, 2026, when her husband was stabbed by his brother during a family altercation. It soon resulted in complaints and counter-complaints filed at the Ramamurthy Nagar Police Station in Bengaluru. 

Kavya Gowda's husband was stabbed during a family dispute

The FIR was filed by Bhavya Gowda, who stated that Kavya called her multiple times on the evening of the scary incident. She revealed that the accused persons involved in the matter restrained, abused and ass***ted Kavya and Somashekar. They even threatened to kill their family. As per the complaint, Prema, her husband, Nandish and their father, Ravikumar, attacked Kavya and Somashekar with sticks and rods.

Her husband was stabbed with a knife. Somashekar was soon rushed to a private hospital, and he is undergoing treatment. Doctors revealed that his condition is stable and he is out of danger. However, he is still in the hospital. Also, Kavya's sister-in-law, Prema's relatives, claimed that Kavya Gowda's family provoked and assaulted them. The content of the complaints is being examined, and investigations are underway. 

Kavya Gowda revealed that they tried to slap her two-year-old daughter 

Recently, in an interview with The Times of India, Kavya Gowda revealed that she didn't want to speak about her personal life in public, but she was left with no choice. She revealed that the dispute started after she hired a woman named Suma as a caretaker for her two-year-old daughter. She shared that the family members falsely accused her of theft. Kavya added that when allegations were levied against her, it was her duty to defend herself. She added that their home is under CCTV surveillance, and the family claimed that the theft happened in the living room, where no one keeps the jewellery.

Kavya further revealed that on January 26, 2026, her daughter was eating grapes when the family again referred to her caretaker as a thief. She added that soon things escalated to the point that they even tried to raise a hand against her two-year-old daughter, Kavya. She said:

"I remained quiet until then because my father-in-law had earlier advised me to let it go. But when they tried to raise a hand against my little daughter, I could not stay silent. No mother would accept that. At that moment, I realised this could not be ignored." 

Kavya added that later that evening, Ravi Kumar, along with other family members, attacked her with sticks, after which the situation turned violent. She even made a serious claim that Ravi Kumar threatened to r**e and kill her and cited that he had a political connection. She added that her husband was stabbed by Priya and Ravi Kumar. She thanked god that her husband is out of danger. She said:

"By God’s grace, my husband's life is not in danger. He is still in the hospital. But my brother-in-law has daughters of his own. How can someone speak like when he has daughters of his own at home."

Kavya added that she has been married for five years and lives with her in-laws, as she loves them and they are nice people. She stated that the behaviour by other family members has been the same over the years.
