When Katrina Kaif tied the knot with Vicky Kaushal , fans were curious how the actress, who hails from London, would bond with the Raazi actor's Punjabi family. But, the actress left everyone stunned as she soon developed a good bond with her mother-in-law, Veena Kaushal. Katrina Kaif recently sat down for an interview with Vogue India, where she was asked about her favourite comfort food. Subtly hinting at her bond with her mother-in-law, Katrina said: 

"It's always going to be pancakes; it's the greatest dish ever created. I have also recently started enjoying my mother-in-law's parathas with makhan."

Apart from loving her mother-in-law's favourite food, the efforts of Vicky's mom for her impressed fans. When Katrina Kaif's interview went viral, several netizens praised the saas-bahu duo. One user penned, "Saas ho toh aise." Another netizen commented, "It's impressive to see how she has accepted Vicky's culture and bonds with his family."

A few days ago, fans were again left gushing over Veena Kaushal and Katrina Kaif's bond when she accompanied her mother-in-law to seek blessings at the sacred Maha Kumbh mela. Despite the cultural differences, the actress's Indian attire, spiritual understanding and how she cared for Vicky's mom amid the crowd made headlines. Katrina was dressed in a salwaar-kameez and the duo participated in all the essential rituals and food donation activities. Katrina was quoted by ANI as saying: 

 "I am very fortunate that I could come here this time. I am really happy and grateful. I met Swami Chidanand Saraswati and took his blessings. I am just starting my experience here. I like the energy and the beauty and significance of everything. I am looking forward to spending the whole day here".

Katrina Kaif revealed her mother-in-law, Veena Kaushal, has a special nickname for her

The world first got an insight into Veena and Katrina Kaif's bond when Katrina appeared on The Kapil Sharma Show for the first time after tying the knot with Vicky Kaushal in December 2021. During her appearance, she revealed that her mother-in-law often cooks Punjabi dishes for her and calls her 'Kitto' at home. In her words: 

"Initially, Mummy ji used to urge me to have a lot of parathas, and since I'm on a diet, I couldn't have them. So I used to just have a bite. And, now that we have almost completed a year of our marriage, mummy ji now prepares sweet potatoes for me. My in-laws call me Kitto with love."
