Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, born on Friday, November 7, 2025. The couple announced the joyous news through a joint statement on social media. The news was met with an outpouring of love and congratulatory messages from fans and fellow Bollywood celebrities, including new moms Kiara Advani and Parineeti Chopra, as well as industry acquaintances like Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. Katrina's newborn must have brought her immense joy, as she revealed on multiple occasions how much becoming a mom meant to her.

Popular Bollywood couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal announced the birth of their little prince in a joint Instagram post. Their post included an image of a teddy bear in a baby carriage. A month earlier, in September 2025, Vicky and Katrina announced their pregnancy with a black-and-white Polaroid featuring the actress flaunting her baby bump. Vicky and Katrina captioned the post with a heartfelt message, calling the pregnancy the 'best chapter' of their lives. Now, following the arrival of their 'bundle of joy', the new parents wrote:

"Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy. 7th November, 2025. — Katrina & Vicky."

How important is motherhood to Katrina Kaif?

Having a complete family, including a husband and kids, is 'very important' to Katrina Kaif. The Ek Tha Tiger actress revealed the same in an interview with Cosmopolitan India over a decade ago. Katrina held this viewpoint back in 2010, when she wasn't even married. The desire to start a family always remained in her heart. She dreamed of a day when she would be part of a small and happy family with her husband and children. Regarding that, she shared:

"I belong to that mindset where having a husband and children are very important. I dream of being married and having kids and living happily ever after. That's me"

Katrina Kaif's desire for parenthood might have stemmed from her broken family

In 2019, Katrina discussed her views on parenthood, shaped by her upbringing. Having been raised by a single mother after her parents' separation, she told Filmfare that it did create a 'vacuum' in he life. She further stated that she wouldn't want the same for her children when she takes on the venture of motherhood. She wanted a complete family for a proper, healthy upbringing of her children. Her kids would be raised with love by both parents, as per her. Her exact words were:

"Not having a father figure does create a certain vacuum. When I have kids, I want them to have the experience of being with both parents".

As Katrina's life got complete with the birth of her first child, it filled our hearts with joy. The news delighted fans, who noted that her long-held dream had finally come true. Notably, whenever the actress spoke about motherhood, she used a plural term to refer to her future children. This might indicate that the actress doesn't plan on stopping at one baby. Neither she nor her husband, Vicky Kaushal, is an only child – Katrina has seven siblings, while Vicky has one younger brother, Sunny Kaushal.
