After Katie shared that she lost their third child due to miscarriage, Travis made a shocking confession about having an affair with another woman and cheating on his wife. While this came as a surprise, it seems like their fans had already speculated that all is not well in their marriage.

Katie Blates is a YouTuber and influencer. She is known for her appearance on her parents' show, Bringing Up The Blates. Katie married Travis when she was 21, and he was 20. He popped the question in a dreamy setup. The couple is blessed with two children. 

Did Katie Blates know about Travis Clark's affair?

As per a report in Paradae, Katie Blates and Travis Clark's fans noticed her husband's absence from her social media handle. Some fans evem claimed that Katie unfollowed several of her husband's female nursing school classmates. The speculations were rife on Reddit, and one user wrote:

"I feel like this sub has been speculating about this for some time but damn…seeing it confirmed. I never thought I’d see their family posting about this publicly. We’ve all heard the rumors about Tori and Bobby, I always assumed it something like this happened to a Bates sister it would go that route."

Soon netizens flooded the comments section. One user slammed Travis for announcing his cheating publically when his wife just had a miscarriage, and wrote, "This can’t be real….to post this publicly a few days after your wife shares about a miscarriage. Damn his reputation is in the dirt." Another user commented, "Wow I’m actually shocked. Y’all were right when you thought something was going on. It didn’t even look like he was in the hospital for her during her miscarriage. Poor Katie I feel so bad for her."

Travis seems to be compensating for the loss of Katie and wants to take responsibility for being a missing husband when she needed him most. He apologised for the pain, humiliation and betrayal he caused his wife. Travis further urged people on the internet to respect his wife's privacy, as she is going through the most difficult time. He accepted that his apology cannot repair what he broke, and that forgiveness is neither something he deserves nor can ask for. A part of his Instagram note can be read as:

"I know that words don’t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of the hurt I’ve brought into her life, but I am truly sorry. I’m sorry for the pain, humiliation, and betrayal I caused my wife through my choices. I understand that an apology doesn’t repair what I broke, and forgiveness is not something I deserve or can ask for. I am taking responsibility by getting help and doing the work to change and become a more honest and accountable man, regardless of outcome. I ask for privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time."

On January 16, 2025, Katie shared a video documenting her pregnancy journey and her tough day of losing her child. Along with it, she wrote that she would be spending the rest of her life missing the baby. In the clip, a voiceover revealed that she would keep asking 'why' to God and would never understand the reason he gives for taking her child away. The voiceover said, "I will ask God why for the rest of my life. And never will I come to understand it. Even if God himself came in front of me and told me the reason, I don’t think I will accept it."
