Kate Cassidy Shares The 'Last Love Letter' From Late Singer, Liam Payne, 'We Have All The Time In..'

The young Liam Payne from Wolverhampton was just 17 years old when he appeared on The X Factor, an experience that changed his life forever. From becoming a member of one of the most loved bands, One Direction, to travelling around the world, being showered with affection wherever he went, the singer had it all. However, the dark side of fame claimed him too soon, as he passed away after falling from the third-floor balcony of his hotel room in October 2024. Over nine months after his passing, his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, sat for an interview with Jay Shetty, where she read the letter she had received from Liam Payne.

Kate Cassidy shared the letter Liam Payne wrote for her

During the conversation with Jay Shetty, Kate was asked what has helped her move forward after Liam Payne's sudden demise. She revealed that what has helped her tremendously are the letters Liam wrote to her. She shared that Liam would write her letters throughout their relationship. She recalled that his words were almost poetic, and what started with small 'I love yous' on napkins soon turned into notes and letters. She revealed that reading a letter from someone you love in their handwriting connects you on a different level. 

Kate Cassidy shared that Liam's love language was giving gifts that would last a lifetime. She recalled a watch he had gifted her and revealed what the letter with it had to say. He wrote in the letter:

"The reason I picked this watch out for you is because it doesn't have any numbers on it, and my love for you is endless. It literally means 'eternity,' so now, every time you look down at your wrist, you can know and remember that my love for you is timeless. We have all the time in the world to learn our love language for each other, and I hope and pray that I get this right for you with every tick and every tock this watch makes from this second onwards. I love you with all my heart Kaitlyn and I won't lose you. Your 444."

While the letters have proven to be comforting in such rough times for the influencer, Kate Cassidy has also found the reality to be heartbreaking. During the conversation, she can be heard sharing her pain over their time together being cut short. However, she revealed that these notes and letters will always hold a special place in her heart.

In the same conversation, Kate Cassidy revealed that the watch Liam had gifted her meant the world to her. She revealed that he had just come home one day, saying he had a gift for her. Kate reflected on how the gifts Liam would bring her were not always luxurious, but they were always meaningful. She revealed that he would sometimes give her McDonald's Happy Meal toys as gifts. However, the watch was her favourite of all.

Kate Cassidy recalled how Liam Payne's fans helped her feel less alone

Kate Cassidy also shared how Liam Payne's fans showed up after his demise. She revealed that they talked so highly of him, which left her heart full. She also acknowledged that there would always be someone who would talk negatively about her, but the love and affection were tremendous. She added:

"I think he would feel just so grateful, and he would know. This would be his confirmation of how important he was in this life, and would have been like, 'Wow, I really left a legacy. I impacted so many lives.'"
