Kartik Aaryan has truly set himself as one of the most bankable actors in the past few years in Bollywood. At a time when most films underperformed at the box-office, he swooned audiences with some of his incredible films including Bhool Bhulaiyya 2, Satyaprem Ki Katha, Shehzada, Luka Chuppi and more. Furthermore, Kartik also has an exciting line-up of films, including Chandu Champion, Bhool Bhulaiyya 3 and an untitled film with Anurag Basu.
In a shocking turn of events, a report by the TOI revealed how a Mumbai-based fan of Kartik Aaryan fell prey to a scammer and got duped of more than Rs. 82 lakhs, under the pretext of getting to meet the actor in-person. The lady, identified by the name Aishwarya was promised by a scammer in 2022 to pay Rs. 82.75 lakhs as a part of an investment that she would make in one of Kartik Aaryan’s supposed film, ‘Love In London’. In return, the fraudster promised Aishwarya to make her meet the actor. As per the FIR lodged, the 29-year-old culprit, Krishna Sharma also holds record of several fraud cases against him previously.

In an interaction with The Lallantop, Kartik Aaryan discussed his selective choice in doing brand endorsements. The actor explained that he didn’t renew a contract for a fairness cream brand that he was earlier associated with, and added that he refused to be a part of pan masala brand advertisements as well. Emphasising the need to choose between right and wrong, he said:
“I did an ad for a face cream a long time ago but then I stopped it. I was not convinced with it. I did not renew it because then I understood that it could be wrong. “I have been offered a lot of brands that I have refused. Like those supari, pan masala brands. I don’t relate to those things. And I try that as long as I can, I refuse these things. I can’t say who is right or wrong, everyone has their own way of thinking. But this doesn’t fit my plans.”
Earlier, in an interview with the Film Companion, Kartik Aaryan revealed that he didn’t take a single penny as remuneration for the film, Shehzada. Being one of the most bankable stars, such a choice was definitely startling. But the actor divulged the reason behind it and mentioned that the film underwent a monetary crisis, and he thought it was best to give up his fees.
