Ananya Panday’s latest show, Call Me Bae, is all set to release on Amazon Prime on September 6, 2024. Ahead of that, the actress hosted the premiere of the show, which was attended by many popular celebrities. More than anything, it was the reunion of ex-flames, Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan, that grabbed the headlines and turned all eyes in their direction at the event.
Kartik Aaryan was reportedly dating Sara Ali Khan during the shooting of their film, Love Aaj Kal. However, after their breakup, there were rumours that Kartik briefly dated Ananya Panday. Now, the trio's interactions rekindled speculations about their past relationships. In a video doing rounds on the internet, Kartik and Sara shared a warm hug in front of the paparazzi. Though the embrace was casual, it left people wondering about the chemistry they once shared.

For the event, Kartik opted for a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans, whereas Sara looked beautiful in a black-hued corset and matching pants. As Kartik and Sara shared a lingering hug, Ananya Panday, who stood beside them, was spotted being awkward. The actress looked chic in an olive-green-hued, strapless bodycon dress, and her hair left open in soft waves. However, Ananya’s reaction to Sara and Kartik's embrace sparked a lot of comments.
Ananya’s reaction has gone viral on Reddit, with many netizens flooding the post with comments. A user penned, “Oh God, poor Annie pie! At this point I honestly doubt if Kartik can move on from Sara lol.” Another wrote, “Looks like Kartik enjoying Sara's conversation to even bother to look Ananya, plus Ananya doesn't like Sara so why would Sara give her attention.”

Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday graced the third episode of the controversial show, Koffee With Karan 8. While chatting with the host, Karan Johar, Sara talked about her friendship with Ananya and said that she wouldn't force the latter not to date a guy she liked. However, Ananya was quick to tell Karan that Sara was lying straight away as the latter had once threatened her over a guy she was interested in. Explaining further, Ananya said that Sara told her that she would beat her up if she even looked at that guy. Ananya was heard saying:
“Sara has threatened me saying I’ll beat you up if you look at this person, on various occasions. You have threatened me.”
