'Misspelled Son's Name' Karisma Kapoor's Lawyer Points At Sunjay's Will Forged To Disinherit Kids

Karisma Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned to get her children the right to their father's property, as they are the rightful heirs. But as per the will produced by the late businessman's third wife, Priya Kapur, disinherited them. The legal battle is over the estate worth Rs. 3,000 crore. In the latest Delhi High Court hearing, Karisma Kapoor's lawyer gave shocking evidence stating that the will has been forged.

Karisma Kapoor's lawyer provides proof of the will being forged

Karisma's lawyer, Mahesh Jethmalani, who is representing Samaira and Kiaan's case, claimed that Sunjay Kapur's will has been forged and intentionally made to disinherit his children from his first marriage. According to a report by NDTV, Mahesh Jethmalani pointed out the court that there has been a lot of secrecy around the will. He said:

"There is something very secretive about this will. This will does not involve Sunjay Kapur... and we were not supplied with any documents either."

Not only this, the senior advocate also highlighted the loopholes in the will. He stated that the will had the incorrect address of his daughter, and there had been repeated misspellings of one of his son's names. He even added that Sunjay Kapur had a great bond with his 'disinherited children'. He was quoted as saying:

"Sunjay Kapur was in great health and his Indian property was secured by a tight trust. The circumstantial evidence is so completely contrary it leads to assumptions... that the contents of the will are bad. I say this based on his phone conversations with his 'disinherited' children. He had a very good relationship with his children. So how could he have written his daughter's address wrong and misspelled his son's name in multiple places?"

Karisma Kapoor's inheritance battle over her late ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur's forged will

Recently, her lawyer, senior advocate, Mahesh Jethmalani, talked about the actress' inheritance battle for her kids, who are Class 1 heirs of late Sunjay Kapur's Rs. 30,000 crore properties. The lawyer stated that Karisma doesn't want anything for herself; the entire aim is to secure her kids' future. He said:

"Karisma Kapoor doesn’t want anything for herself. The entire aim of this litigation is to secure her children in the manner in which her late ex-husband wanted them to be secure — which is as per a trust deed that dealt with his assets in India, his corporate assets in India, and by and large, his assets abroad."
