Time and again, reports were rife about two contemporary actresses having tiffs with each other. One such actress pair was Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor. The duo started their career in the Hindi film industry in 1991. While Karisma's debut film was Prem Qaidi, Raveena stepped into Bollywood with Patthar Ke Phool. The duo was seen together in the movie, Andaz Apna Apna, and reports were rife that the actresses had a catfight between them. Karisma Kapoor once talked about not being on talking terms with Raveena Tandon

Reports claimed that Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon were not on talking terms while shooting the film, Andaz Apna Apna. It was one of the heroes of the film, Aamir Khan, who also once revealed to India Today that there had been some tension going on between both the actresses, which made it difficult for them to shoot the film. Karisma, even, last year, while giving an interview to Rajeev Masand, accepted that they were actually not on talking terms with one another during the shoot.

Karisma Kapoor also shared that they had been shooting in the Film City from day and night without talking to each other. Karisma also added that they used to look at each other in a certain way during the same film. Well, the actresses were forced to talk to one another by the director, who refused to untie the duo until they talked to each other after the shoot of them being tied to the pillars was over.

Raveena Tandon's revelations about catfight with Karisma Kapoor

The gossip about the catfight between Karsima and Raveena began after the latter revealed that she was 'kicked out of a film' due to an actress and her insecurities. It was back in the 90s when reports claimed that Raveena and Ajay Devgn reportedly broke up, following which the actor started dating Karisma, which was the alleged reason for the actress-duo's tiff. In an interview with Rediff, Raveena said that she was thrown out of a movie for a heroine, and later, she had to work with that heroine as well. Raveena could be quoted as saying:

"I won't name the heroine, but because she was insecure she had me removed from four films. As a matter of fact, I was to do one of the films with her. She was closer to the producer and the hero apparently. So these things do happen, but I'm not into playing these sort of games."

In the same interview, when the interviewer asked her about her 'catfight' rumours with Karisma as she refused to pose with her, Raveena said that it wouldn't have made her a superstar if she had done the same. She shared that she's not 'best friends' with Karisma or Ajay, but she's also ready to work with both of them for that matter. Raveena shared:

"I would pose with a broomstick if need be... Karisma and I are not the best of friends. Ditto with Ajay... Professionally I'm ready to work with Ajay or Karisma. Where work is concerned I don't bother about these stupid ego problems."

When Farah Khan recalled witnessing a wig fight between Karsima and Raveena

It was during an episode of Koffee With Karan in 2007, when Farah Khan recalled witnessing a fight between Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon. When Karan asked about the worst fight between two actresses that she witnessed, Farah said it was between Karisma and Raveena during the shoot of Aatish. The filmmaker shared that during that fight, the actresses were hitting each other with wigs, and one even was stamping the other with her heels. In Farah's words:

"I was once doing a song with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, long ago, in a film called Aatish. They were both having some kind of teenage spat. They were hitting each other with their wigs. One was hitting, the other was stamping her foot with her heel. It was quite childish. I am sure they will laugh about it now."

When Raveena Tandon reacted to her and Karisma Kapoor's airport 'showdown' buzz

It was in 2024, when during an interview with Filmfare, Raveena was asked if she was on talking terms with Karisma. To this, she shared that they bump into the social gatherings. She further clarified that there had never been any 'catfights' as it was speculated. Earlier, reports claimed that Karisma and Raveena had a 'showdown' at an airport due to the catfight. Dismissing the buzz, Raveena, in the same interview, shared that it was not a fight but a discussion and confrontation about the situation. She further shared how social media was not there back in that time, thus, things couldn't be clarified.
