Former Bollywood actress, Karisma Kapoor bumped into her ex-fiance, Abhishek Bachchan's wife, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan at fashion designer, Manish Malhotra's Diwali bash. Guess, what happened next? For the unversed, it was in the year 2000 when Abhishek Bachchan debuted with the war drama film, Refugee opposite his ex-girlfriend, Karisma Kapoor's younger sister, Kareena Kapoor Khan. He was instantly hailed as the next big thing. But apart from his amazing acting skills, it was his love story with Karisma that had then made it to the headlines of every leading newspaper. However, destiny had other plans, and the duo called off their wedding.

On October 20, 2022, Karisma and Aishwarya attended the Diwali party of their best friend, Manish. The two gorgeous actresses looked pretty as usual. Talking about how love brewed between Abhishek and Karisma, the duo had met each other at the former's sister, Shweta Bachchan's wedding in 1997. However, it was after 5-years, their relationship caught the media attention, and everyone was curious to know when they will tie the knot. In a media interaction, Jaya Bachchan announced Abhishek and Karisma's engagement news and called her daughter-in-law.
