Kareena Kapoor Khan is one of the most gorgeous actresses in Bollywood. Belonging to the eminent film family of the Kapoors, Kareena has undoubtedly carved her own path in the film world and enjoys massive stardom. For the unversed, she made her debut opposite Abhishek Bachchan in the 2000-released film, Refugee. Over the years, Bebo has impressed the audience with her acting prowess and successful career. Now, in an interview, Kareena opened up about how she was inspired to become an actress.
In a recent video shared by Netflix India on social media, Kareena Kapoor Khan sat for an interaction with her Jaane Jaan co-stars, Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat. At one point, Jaideep asked his co-stars to reveal the name of an actor, film, or scene that they copied in front of a mirror as a child. In response, Bebo said that she became an actress because of the legendary Sridevi and recalled watching the latter's films around 20-25 times. In her words:
"I was inspired by Sridevi ji. I became an actress because of her....I think I had seen Chaalbaaz and Khuda Gawah 20-25 times. By seeing her acting because she was just so natural and I loved doing comedy. And, she I think was like just amazing at it. So I think she's truly been an inspiration."

While the actors were expecting Kareena Kapoor to take either of her parents, Randhir Kapoor or Babita Kapoor's name, her response won hearts. Meanwhile, Vijay Varma then asked Bebo if she actually performed Sridevi's scenes while standing in front of the mirror. To this, the Udta Punjab actress responded, "Fully". Not just this, she even shared that she performed the song, Hawa Hawaii during childhood.
The Kapoor family had an unsaid rule that women don't work in the film industry. Even if any already established actress like Neetu Singh or Babita tied the knot in the Kapoor family, then they had to say goodbye to their acting careers. But Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor broke all these rules, and their dad, Randhir Kapoor helped them. Talking about the same, at The Indian Express’ Express Adda event, Kareena shared that her father moved with the times and changed himself for the sake of his kids. She mentioned:
"Back in the 1970s and stuff, it was different because times were different. That when they got married they never really worked, but I’m glad that my father moved with the times because that’s what it is about. You have to keep changing yourself for your children. That’s also important, and not live in archaic times."
