Kareena Kapoor Khan is back to business after chilling in London with her family and friends. The actress radiated the boss vibe at the trailer launch event of her upcoming film, The Buckingham Murders. Hansal Mehta and Ekta Kapoor, the makers of the film, accompanied Kareena, who looked super happy meeting the press. However, there was a moment when the actress was taken aback by the mention of the name 'Shahid'.
On September 3, 2024, Kareena was seen in a chirpy mood as she chit-chatted with the media personnel at the trailer launch event. The actress shared how she only knows how to act and would accompany her elder sister and '90s superhit heroine, Karisma Kapoor. However, a video surfaced on the internet, wherein Kareena was left uncomfortable when a reporter mentioned the name Shahid.

In the clip, we can hear a reporter heaping praises on the makers for making amazing films. He also mentioned the film, Shahid. However, the people present at the event started hooting while Kareena looked a bit uncomfortable, (for those who don't know, Kareena Kapoor Khan was once dated Shahid Kapoor). But Kareena didn't let it show on her face, ignored the hoots and focused on the person's questions.

As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens came in support of Kareena, and questioned how reporters hooted at the mention of Shahid. One user wrote, "How they are cheering and whistling shamelessly, despite knowing the fact that she's married now. Indian media at its worst." Another one wrote, "Naam sunkar face ka expression change tha thora sa."

In the early 2000s, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were the famous couple who were the 'hero and heroine' of every film. They were madly in love, and Kareena had even started following vegetarianism for Shahid. While they shared an amazing relationship off camera, their films together weren't working on the box office.
However, everyone was left shocked when Kareena Kapoor parted ways from Shahid Kapoor in 2007 and started dating Saif Ali Khan.
