But recently, the fans were left surprised when Kareena and Shahid interacted with each other at the IIFA press event.

Popular celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Kareena Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan and Shahid Kapoor have reached Jaipur to attend the press event of IIFA (International Indian Film Academy Awards) ahead of the main event. During the meet, fans were left surprised when Kareena stood beside Shahid Kapoor onstage, hugged him, and conversed with him. The two were seen sharing a cordial bond as they carefully listened to each other. 

For the special event, Kareena Kapoor opted to wear a beige trench-style dress with a newspaper print design. Its structured fit, long sleeves, and buttons accentuated her curves. The diva paired it with black knee-high boots for an edgy look. Bebo kept her makeup minimal with well-defined eyebrows and nude lips, styling her hair in soft waves. On the other hand, Shahid looked charming in a white co-ord set with an intricate, nature-inspired print and a slightly messy hairstyle.

Recalling how Shahid recommended her for Jab We Met, and they eventually went their separate ways, Kareena was quoted as saying to Film Companion:

"Of course, destiny had its own plan, and life took its own course. A lot happened in making this film and Tashan and our lives… We all kind of went our separate ways. And this beauty of a movie came out of it."
