Kannappa trailer launch was delayed due to Air India AI171 crash

The trailer launch for Kannappa was officially planned for June 13, 2025, at an event in Indore. However, it was postponed by a day due to the tragic crash of Air India's AI171 Boeing Dreamliner on the afternoon of June 12, 2025, claiming the lives of over 250 people. Taking the same into account, the team decided to cancel the event, thereby delaying the launch of the trailer.

"Akshay Kumar and Vishnu Manchu have taken a collective decision to cancel the Kannappa trailer launch event that was scheduled to be held in Indore. The move comes in the wake of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad, which has left the entire country in shock. As a mark of respect for the lives lost, the team has also chosen to defer the trailer release by a day. The focus remains on standing in solidarity with the grieving families during this difficult time."
