Meet Nishad Yusuf, Bobby Deol And Suriya's Film Kanguva's Editor Who Found Dead In His Kochi Home

Kanguva is among the most anticipated movies of 2024. The film is directed by Siva, who also directed Vivegam. It features renowned pan-India stars like Suriya, Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Jagapathi Babu, Redin Kingsley, and many more. The much-awaited fantasy action film will hit theatres on November 14, 2024, and anticipation is growing every day.

Bobby Deol and Suriya's film, Kanguva's editor, Nishadh Yusuf, was found dead in his home

Unfortunately, weeks before Kanguva's release, its editor, Nishadh Yusuf, passed away. The sudden demise of the renowned film editor has shaken the entire South Indian film industry. What's even more shocking is the fact that Nishadh Yusuf was found dead in his Kochi residence. At the mere age of 43, Nishad's demise has shaken everyone. According to multiple reports, police have started their investigation, but so far, they're unable to find the cause of his death.

For the uninitiated, the Film Employees Federation of Kerala (FEFKA) Directors' Union confirmed the news of Nishadh Yusuf's demise with a heartbreaking note on its official Facebook page. An excerpt from the long note can be read as:

"The unexpected demise of Nishadh Yusuf, the famous film editor, who played a major role in determining the contemporary future of the changing Malayalam cinema, is not something the film world will be able to quickly accept. Condolences from the FEFKA Directors' Union."

Amidst all the chaos and confusion on the internet around Nishadh Yusuf's demise. Some regional media portals have reported that there could be a possibility of suicide in this tragedy. As per a report in Matrubhoomi, police is also investigating the suicide angle in Nishadh Yusuf's demise and have not ruled out its possibility as of now.

For the uninitiated, Nishadh Yusuf was a renowned film editor, who had worked on a series of notable films, including Thallumaala, Unda, One, Saudi Vellakka, and Adios Amigos. After working on Bobby Deol and Suriya's PAN India film, Kanguva, Nishadh was working on Mohanlal and Mammootty's big-budget film, Bazooka. Not only this, the critically acclaimed film editor was also working on Alappuzha Gymkhana.

Back in 2022, Nishadh Yusuf was bestowed with the Best Editor award for his impressive editing of the film, Thallumaala. It was a state award given to Nishadh by the Kerala government.

Talking about his personal life, Nishadh is survived by his wife and two children, a girl and a boy. The renowned film editor always kept his family away from the media spotlight, which is the reason why not everyone is aware of their background. Well, no wonder it is a heartbreaking situation for his wife and kids.
