Bollywood actress-turned-politician, Kangana Ranaut's journey from movies to politics is no less than an inspiration. Not many people had believed in the caliber of the young curly-haired girl when she 'ran away from home' at the age of 15. She has experienced the dark side of life and almost became a drug addict. However, she was able to get out in time. At a young age, she moved to the city of dreams and made her acting debut in 2006 with the movie, Gangster: A Love Story. Later, Kangana played remarkable roles in films such as Fashion, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Tanu Weds Manu, and many more. In the midst of it, she never shied away from speaking her mind on the issues that were happening in the country.
While being one of the top actresses, Kangana never feared speaking her heart out. She was the first actress to openly spark the debate on nepotism and movie mafia in Bollywood. Her journey into politics started when she encouraged people to talk about the current issues while other celebrities would try to avoid it. With her victory as an elected Member Of Parliament, Kangana proved to the world that she had the power to bring about the right change.

Kangana Ranaut started her political career after she won from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. She is now eligible for the salary and other perks of being a Member Of Parliament. Kangana will be getting Rs. 1 lakh per month, as it is the basic salary of an elected MP. The amount was set after a pay hike in 2018 to keep up with the rising cost of living.
Not only this, Kangana will also enjoy Rs. 70,000 per month as a constituency allowance to cover expenses for maintaining offices and interacting with the votes in her area. Kangana will also get a daily allowance of Rs. 2,000 for lodging, food and other expenses while attending parliamentary sessions and committee meeting at the national capital.

According to a report by Times Now, all MPs are entitled to get 34 free domestic flights per year for themselves and their immediate family members. They also get free first-class train travel for official and personal purposes and can claim mileage allowances while traveling by road within their constituencies.

The report further claimed that an elected MP is provided rent-free accommodations during their five-year term, including bungalows, flats or hostel rooms based on seniority. Those who dont't require official accommodation can claim a housing allowance of Rs. 2,00,000 per month. Can you believe it?
Well, Kangana Ranaut is an inspiration for many young girls to never stop dreaming. She has a vision to make her parents proud, and she did it with all her might.
