Kangana Ranaut needs no introduction in Bollywood. She is one of the finest actresses in the present generation who holds the power to challenge stereotypes. Her grace, outspoken nature, acting prowess, and versatility as a performer have always charmed audiences. Kangana always takes up impactful roles and is known for her impeccable screen presence. She never agrees to take up mere prop-like roles in films, and recently, the actress took a jibe at actresses who agreed to play miniature roles beside superstars.
Kangana Ranaut is known to speak her mind and does not mince her words. The actress is recently on a promotion spree for her upcoming film, Emergency and in an interview with Siddharth Kannan, she spoke highly of Salman Khan. The actress revealed that she was offered roles in Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan, but she did not like the roles and rejected it. Kareena Kapoor and Anushka Sharma later respectively took up the roles, but Kangana looked down upon the potential of the role. In her words:
“Salman offered me a role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan; I was like ‘Yeh kya role diya hai?’ (what is this role?). He then approached me for Sultan. I didn’t take that up. He was like, ‘What more do I offer to you now?'”
Kangana Ranaut then clarified that although she rejected the roles, Salman never misbehaved with her and always encouraged her. She added that Salman Khan is very excited for her upcoming film, Emergency. Kangana further added:
“Salman is so kind. He keeps talking to me. He is even excited to watch Emergency. We have a common friend, he sent him and was like ‘you go see what film she has made’. He called me and said, ‘It’s a nice film’. I was like, ‘So you have the news, but you haven’t watched it yourself.’ This is the kind of bonding we share.”
A few days back, Kangana Ranaut appeared on Raj Shamani's podcast to promote her upcoming film, Emergency. During the conversation, they broached the topic of marriage. Although Kangana was linked with a few actors in the past, nothing solidified. There haven't been any rumours about her dating for a long time. The host asked Kangana if she wanted to get married and have kids in the future. In her reply, Kangana agreed and said:
"Yeah, of course."
Kangana, known for her candidness, was asked if marriage should be mandatory. She termed it a controversial question and shared her belief that everyone should have a companion. She emphasised that the right partner will come along, and one need not actively search for them. Her words were:

"Controversial. I think everybody should have a companion. It's difficult to be without a companion, it's not easy to be without a companion. Everybody should have a companion, it's important. It is difficult with a companion also, more difficult without a companion. You don't have to find the right person. That is another thing that needs to go. It completely needs to go. If you find your own partner, that's the biggest disaster that can happen to you. It will come along, no timelines."
On the work front, Kangana's journey has been eventful. Her role as an Indian Air Force pilot in Tejas, though the film didn't perform well at the box office, was a commendable effort. Earlier this year, she took a bold step into politics and emerged victorious, winning the Lok Sabha elections as a BJP candidate from the Mandi constituency. Her upcoming film, Emergency, where she plays the role of former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, is highly anticipated. Co-starring Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and Mahima Chaudhary, the film is scheduled to release on September 6, 2024.
