Be it sharing her thoughts on nepotism or debating on social issues, Kangana is known for speaking her heart out.

This time, Kangana Ranaut has taken a jibe at the recently released ad on kanyadaan, featuring Alia Bhat. In the commercial, Alia, who plays the role of a bride, objects to the practice of kanyadaan. The advertisement has received mixed reviews as many people thought the ad to be progressive, while others found it misleading. Now, Bollywood’s Manikarnika, Kangana Ranaut reacted to the commercial and asked the brand not to mix it with 'religion'.

Kangana took to her IG handle a few moments back and explained the real meaning of kanyadaan. Kangana tagged the brand and Alia Bhatt and stated that the ad was trying to mislead its customers using religion and politics. She captioned her post as "Humble request to all brands….. don’t use religion, minority, majority politics to sell things…. Stop manipulating naive consumers with shrewd divisive concepts and advertising… #mohey @aliaabhatt @moheyfashion @stylebyami."

To give you a brief about the ad, it begins with Alia Bhatt, who can be seen sitting in a mandap with her husband-to-be and explains how her family loves her but keeps reminding her that she must leave her home for her husband's house. In her monologue, Alia asks, "Am I a thing to be donated? Why only kanyadaan".
