Kamini Kaushal Was Dharmendra's First Heroine, Duo's Picture Together Surfaces After Former's Death

The veteran actor, Kamini Kaushal, passed away at the age of 98. She has left behind a legacy of her amazing work over more than seven decades. However, not many know that she was the first heroine of the 'angry young man', Dharmendra. Yes, Kamini was the first lady of the superstar, who went on to create a strong footing in Bollywood. Now, their first picture has been going viral on the internet.

Kamini Kaushal was Dharmendra's first co-star

Even before Dharmendra became the hit superstar of Bollywood, his first taste of fame was with Kamini Kaushal. She was his first heroine, and they worked together in Dharmendra's 1965 classic film, Shaheed. Dharmendra once shared a picture of their first meeting on his Instagram. The picture was dated back in August 2021. 

In the nostalgic photo, the two were seen smiling as they greeted each other. The image showed a young Dharmendra smiling after meeting Kamini, and they radiated good vibes. Sharing the photo, Dharmendra mentioned:

"Meri zindagi ki , Pehli film SHAHEED ki heroine Kamini Kaushal Ke saath pehli mulaqat ki pehli tasvir…Donon ke chihron par massart … ikk pyaar bhari introduction…."

Kamini Kaushal passed away at 98

For the unversed, Kamini Kaushal died at the age of 98. According to reports, the actress was dealing with age-related health issues. A source close to the family shared that they do not want to make it national news and just want privacy in these tough times. She is survived by her sons, Shravan, Vidur, and Rahul Sood. The children have not yet released an official statement about her death.

Kamini Kaushal is known for extraordinary acting. She has worked over 90 films, she showcased unmatched depth in every role she portrayed on screen. She made her acting debut with Neecha Nagar. The film made history by winning the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1946.  

Kamini Kaushal has been part of several films such as Shaheed, Nadiya Ke Paar, Shabnam, Arzoo, and Biraj Bahu. She also played different roles in movies, including Do Bhai, Ziddi, Paras, Jailor, Aabroo, Jhanjar, Night Club, and Godaan.

Dharmendra's health update

Dharmendra is back home after facing a health scare. His recovery is ongoing at his home. Amidst it, a heart-wrenching video of the actor with his family was making headlines. In the clip, he leaked video showed the famous superstar Dharmendra lying on a hospital bed, and he was unconscious. It was a painful sight to watch as his first wife, Prakash Kaur, standing next to him, was crying in consolation and praying for the recovery of her husband. It was a painful glimpse as Sunny Deol went to his mother, hugged her and tried to console her. 

After the video surfaced, it was highly criticised. Soon, the Breach Candy Hospital caught the employee who had recorded a private, extremely vulnerable moment of the Deol family for money and views. As soon as the heart-wrenching video was shared on social media, internet users slammed it, and several celebrities came forward to condemn the act in the name of updating their fans. It was clearly a breach of trust, and no one wants to see someone go through such an extremely painful moment.
