Kalyani Shah Supports Priya Kapur In Legal Battle With Karisma Kapoor, Trolls Say 'Paid To Write..'

Sunjay Kapur's sudden demise has shaken the core of his family. The relationship, which looked idle as his wife, Priya Kapur, shared a loving bond with Sunjay Kapur and his ex-wife, Karisma Kapoor's children, has changed. The same children have dragged her to court as they challenge their rights in Sunjay Kapur's Rs. 30,000 crore wealth. Amidst it, Kalyani Shah has come in support of Priya Kapur, but fans have named it a PR stunt.

Sunjay Kapur's widow, Priya Kapur finds support in Kalyani Shah

Recently, Kalyani took to her Instagram handle and shared a long post for her friend, Priya Kapur and her relationship with Sunjay Kapur. She posted a couple of happy pictures of Priya with Sunjay and their family. Along with it, she wrote a long note and highlighted how Sunjay planned his life meticulously and everyone else who he takes care of.

Kalyani added that Priya and Sunjay worked hard on their goals. She stated that Priya was the woman behind Sunjay's success, and he was a dedicated father. Kalyani highlighted how Sunjay's planning has been crumbling, and the family has fallen apart. She even prayed for Sunjay's soul as his family is facing turbulent times with court cases and blame games. An excerpt from the note can be read as:

"For a man who planned his life meticulously and everybody else’s who he was responsible for .. for their entire future .. a man whose long term goals were only to build on the happiness that Priya and he worked so hard to bring about . This beautiful blended family of camaraderie. A rare feat in the world we live in . The biggest example of what Love really looked like . With Priya. His soul mate and partner who truly was the woman behind this very successful man which he became. Sunjay was a husband to Priya setting goals of what it really means to be in a relationship."

As soon as the post was made, netizens flooded the comments section. One user pointed out, "His beloved daughter and elder son standing right next to him in this picture, and he left nothing for them?? Do you really believe this,,was he so poor at heart? Children have full right to question this."

Another user wrote, "Is Priya paying you for the pr?" A third user wrote, "Do not post this when you know there’s a widowed sad confused mother, children who may lose their inheritance and a widow who is also looking bad right now…..let the courts decide and creating controversy helps no one."

Sunjay Kapur's inheritance case explained

Karisma Kapoor's children, Samaira Kapur and Kiaan Kapur, have moved to the Delhi High Court to seek a share in their father's property. They urged to be recognised as Class 1 legal heirs to Kapur's personal assets in the late businessman's Rs. 30,000 crore estate. In the lawsuit, they made shocking revelations against Priya Sachdev. They accused Sunjay Kapur's third wife, Priya Sachdev, of usurping the 'full control' over their father's assets. 

They claimed that their step-mother, Priya Sachdev, forged the will after his sudden death in June 2025, in the United Kingdom. The children are being represented by their mother, Karisma Kapoor, in court. Karisma's children have questioned the will dated March 21, 2025. According to the will, Sunjay's entire personal estate has been left in the name of Priya Kapur.
