New Poster Of 'Maa': Kajol Turns Ferocious Mom In Upcoming Horror Film 'Rakshak, Bhakshak Aur Maa'

Bollywood actress, Kajol is known for her exceptional acting skills. With her dusky looks, unibrows, and on-point expression turned her into the most-loved actress, who still continues to stay relevant. Kajol kept on working and excelling with her OTT films. And now, she is all set to show off her ferocious look in her upcoming film, Maa, wherein she turns a warrior, who does her best to protect her loved ones from a dark force. 

Kajol's film, Maa: new poster reveals her ferocious avatar against dark forces

On May 26, 2025, Kajol took to her Instagram handle, and shared a new poster of the upcoming film, Maa. The poster had dramatic scene with a stormy background and lightening backdrop. The centre features Kajol was seen face-to-face with a monstrous figure. The actress had charred skin with glowing red eyes that depicts her anger from every part of her body. She looked wounded as blood was seen on her forehead. 

Kajol was seen as if screaming right in front of the demonic figure. The tagline of the film states, 'Rakshak, Bhakshak aur Maa'. The film is directed by Vishal Furia, who is famous for the movies, Chhorii and Chhorii 2. It is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jyoti Deshpande. The film aslo features Indraneil Sengupta, Rohit Roy and Jitin Gulati. 

Netizens react to Kajol's upcoming supernatural film

As soon as the poster of the film was dropped, netizens reacted to it. They loved the appearance of Kajol in the film, and her millions of fans were sure that she is back to rule the cinema with her upcoming film which is set to be released on June 27, 2025. One user wrote, "Kajol is backkkk here to rule." Another one commented, "The QUEEN is back with another hit! Can't wait!" A third user appreicated Kajol and wrote, "She used to steal my heart with romantic roles, now she’s about to blow my mind with something powerful and dark. Maa is gonna be iconic!"

Kajol's upcoming projects

Kajol has a pipeline of projects and seems like she never seems to rest. In her diverse linkeup, she has films raging from horror, action, drama to mystery. However, it is the first time, Kajol took the horror route with Maa. She is also going to be seen in Charan Tej Uppalapati's action packed film, Maharagni — Queen of Queens. The movie marks her reunion with Prabhu Deva after 27 years. She was last seen in the Netflix's Do Patti, and fans loved her role as a police officer. 

When Kajol talked about her filmography

Earlier, at News18’s Rising Bharat Summit 2025, Kajol talked about filmography and how she is one of the least workign actress. She stated that she likes to be lazy and believes in slow living as she wants to enjoy her life. She was quoted as saying:

"I am the least worked actor in the whole film industry. Puri film industry mein jo log recently aaye hai unn logon ne zyada kaam kiya hoga. Mujhse zayada. I think my filmography is all about 50-55 films that’s it. I choose to be lazy. I choose to have a slower life. I choose to enjoy my life as along with working. I think working should be part of my life not apart of my life. And every which way I have found a balance to life. I like my coffee, slow morning. I love my life."
