Bollywood actress, Kajol is one of the most loved divas in Tinseltown, who always wins the hearts of her audience through her acting spree. Apart from that, Kajol is well-known for being an outspoken personality, as she never shies away from expressing her opinions in media interactions and interviews. Currently, Kajol is busy promoting her upcoming web series, The Trial, and during an interview, she shared a valuable advice for young actresses who are joining the film industry.
In an interview with Zoom, Kajol was asked to share a piece of advice that she would like to give to young actresses who are joining the film industry. Responding to the same, the actress quickly mentioned that the girls should respect the way God has made them, and if they want to look a certain way, they should opt for makeup. She said,
"God has made you in a particular way, and for what god has not made the way you wanted, there’s always make-up."

Soon, The Trial's director, Suparn Varma, who was also sitting next to Kajol, quipped, "Or surgery." However, Kajol instantly dismissed the same and said, "No! That’s the whole point." However, Suparn then added that if an actress does makeup or opts for surgery, it should be entirely her choice and should not be done under pressure. Kajol agreed to the same and added that girls should never go under the knife because of any pressure. In her words:
"Exactly, that’s what I mean. That it should be a personal choice, you shouldn’t do it because 25 people have told you to do it."
In an old interaction with the Humans Of Bombay, Kajol opened up about the body shaming that she was subjected to when she joined the film industry. Recalling how she was judged for her complexion, Kajol shared that she was called dark, fat and someone who wears specs all the time. However, the actress was not concerned about it as she knew that she was smarter and better than the people who were making negative comments about her. In her words:
“‘She is dark, she is fat and she wears specs all the time.’ These were some of the judgments that were passed when I first started working in the industry. I couldn’t care less. I knew I was smart, cool and better than everyone out there who had any negatives to say about me. So, I kept continuing to be myself and never let it show. Sooner or later, when they couldn’t pull me down, the world simply embraced me for who I was - Kajol.”
