Kajol Reunites With On-Screen Son In K3G, Jibraan Khan After Over 20 Years, Duo Share Wholesome Hug

Kajol is undeniably one of Bollywood’s most successful actresses. However, it’s not just her acting mettle that has fans in awe of her to this day. Kajol’s outspoken and unfiltered personality has charmed audiences ever since she made her debut. The versatile actress has a number of iconic films to her name, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Ghum, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, and Baazigar, among others, with scenes from such movies still fresh in the memory of fans. Well, recently, they got a chance to relive one such memory through the unexpected reunion of Kajol and her on-screen son in K3G, Jibraan Khan.

The premiere of Ajay Devgn’s film, Azaad, also starring Diana Penty, Aaman Devgn, and Rasha Thadani, was held on January 16, 2025. Fans of Karan Johar’s 2001 blockbuster, K3G, however, were blessed with the most unexpected reunion at the premiere when Kajol met her on-screen son, Jibraan Khan. For the unversed, Jibraan had played ‘Krishi,’ the son of Kajol’s ‘Anjali’ in the film. 

Jibraan had showed up for the premiere of Abhishek Kapoor’s historical action film and graced the red carpet. The actor looked dapper in a black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black leather jacket as he posed for the shutterbugs. As Jibraan smiled, he suddenly caught sight of Kajol arriving at the venue from the corner of his eye. As the actress exited her vehicle, Jibraan ran right up to her to give her a hug while Kajol had the biggest smile on her face. 

The on-screen mother and son duo held hands as they chatted animatedly for a bit before parting ways. Kajol donned a cape-style dress and oversized frames for the event. For the uninitiated, after a three-year stint as a child artist, Jibraan chose to step back from the limelight. However, in 2024, he made his Bollywood comeback in a grown-up role in Nipun Dharmadhikari's romantic comedy, Ishq Vishk Rebound. However, his role as ‘Krishi’ is his best-known on-screen character to this day.

The wholesome moment between Kajol and her on-screen son, Jibraan Khan, won fans’ hearts. One user wrote, “The way her eyebrows moving, she looks genuinely happy to see him. So good to see that,” while another penned, “Awwww so cute. The child actors in all of KJo's films made such an impact man.” Some netizens even noted the similarities between Jibraan and his on-screen dad, Shah Rukh Khan. One user wrote, “He literally looks like he could be SRK’s son,” while another commented, “The way he ran/jogged also like SRK from K3G that too in black lol.”
