Kajol Reveals Why It Was An 'Intense And Interesting' Quarantine Phase With Ajay Devgn, Nysa And Yug

Lockdown was an interesting phase. While some enjoyed the quality time with their families which they didn’t get due to professional commitments, some were fed up staying 24x7 with everyone around at home. While some, who were away from families, wished to be with them during the lockdown period, some craved for ‘me’ time with no disturbance or interference of anyone. Though it was the most special phase as everyone had spent quality time with their loved ones, there also came a time when they had wished for ’me’ time. Months after the lockdown ended, Kajol Devgan reveals how it was a ‘really intense and interesting’ quarantine for the Devgn family. (Also Read: Taimur Ali Khan Join Hands To Greet A Cow, Asks Owner 'Aur Bajao' As He Played Saif's Song On Flute)

When the lockdown was lifted, Kajol Devgan had temporarily moved to Singapore with her daughter, Nysa Devgan, where she is studying, and Ajay Devgn had stayed back in Mumbai with their son, Yug Devgan. On Christmas 2020, Kajol had posted a picture of a wall with her family portraits on it and the festive décor. Kajol’s pictures with hubby, Ajay, kids, Nysa and Yug, mother, Tanuja and sister, Tanisha Mukerji were enough to spread the festive cheer. Kajol had captioned her post as “Someone pointed out to me that the way we run the world is changing and only for the better, but in the meanwhile we will have to go through the really shitty adjustment period. To a better world and a better tomorrow! That’s my wish for this Christmas #ComplimentsOfTheSeason.”

Making her web debut with Netflix film, Tribhanga, Kajol Devgan spoke about how was the quarantine phase with her family in 2020 and why by the end of it, they had locked themselves in different rooms. Being the super candid self that she is, Kajol said, "It was a very, very concentrated period as a mother. My son goes to school from 8 am to 4 pm and now school came home and I had to attend school with him at least to make sure that he was in class. It was an interesting quarantine for us as a family. It was really intense and interesting. At the end of the quarantine, I have to say that I'm very grateful for the fact that we had four bedrooms in the house. Each of us could get one bedroom and we could all go into the room and lock ourselves in whenever it felt like... to get that space from each other."

Kajol Devgan’s film, Tribhanga portrays the interpersonal dynamics of three women from three generations, battling societal expectations. Speaking of why she considers herself lucky in a society where women have to battle judgements, Kajol said, “My father [Shomu Mukherjee] was against me getting married at 24. He said that I should work more before I tie the knot. My mom [Tanuja] was my biggest supporter, and told me to go with my gut. I have been lucky that everybody around has always stood up for me. So, I did exactly what I wanted to do.” Crediting her mother, Tanuja for making her independent, Kajol continued, “My mother made me independent, and my daughter is as independent as I am.” (Also Read: Hina Khan Celebrates 12 Years In Showbiz With Rocky Jaiswal, Photos Prove They're 'Better Together')
