Junaid Khan Breaks Silence On Why He Often Travels By A Rickshaw In Mumbai, 'It's Very...'

Junaid Khan, son of Aamir Khan and his former wife, Reena Dutta has become a favourite on the internet. Unlike other star kids, the young actor stayed away from the limelight for most of his childhood, but since his acting debut, he won hearts with his performance, honesty and humble nature. Junaid is presently on a promotional spree for his new film, Loveyapa and some of his actions, like carrying a shoulder bag at different places or travelling by rickshaw despite coming from a popular family, have raised eyebrows. In a recent interview, Junaid shared his reasons for doing so. 

Junaid Khan reveals why he prefers to travel by rickshaw 

Junaid Khan has been in the spotlight ever since he made his acting debut and paps often spot him travelling by a rickshaw, which goes viral. In a recent conversation with choreographer, Farah Khan on her YouTube channel, she asked him why he often travels by a rickshaw considering his background. At the question, his co-star, Khushi Kapoor, chimed in and mentioned that he does it to blow dry his hair. On the other hand, Junaid casually mentioned that it was a more simple way to travel and said:

“It’s very convenient. Ghar pe bahut saari gaadiyaan hai. Zarurat pade toh koi bhi le sakta hu." 

Farah Khan was stunned by his straightforward reply and said he was a 'middle class' hero. At the same time, she asked the star kid to spill the beans on his viral bag and share what was inside it. In turn, Junaid began to unpack things from his bag, including a pen from Japan, a hairdryer and a dry shampoo. Moreover, it also included a few toiletry items and a wallet with Rs. 1300. Taking a look at his wallet, Farah teased him that he was different from his father, Aamir, who doesn't carry a wallet. Junaid shared he kept change to pay for rickshaw rides, leaving Farah surprised again. 

Junaid Khan shares he is not offered multiple scripts, unlike people's perception of him

Junaid Khan is one of the most honest young actors who doesn't shy away from speaking the truth. During the trailer launch event of his new film, he was asked about his process of choosing a film from the multiple scripts offered to him as a starkid. The question confused Junaid and revealed that he doesn't have many options. He noted that he completed the shooting for his debut film in 2021 and, after two years, got Loveyapa, which left everyone in shock.

Junaid Khan made his acting debut with Maharaj In 2024, co-starring Sharvari, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey. He is busy promoting his newly released film, Loveyapa, co-starring Khushi Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Kiku Sharda and more. The actor also has an untitled film with Sai Pallavi in the pipeline.
