Junaid Khan is the son of Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan. The young actor is busy promoting his upcoming film, Loveyapa, and his father has joined him at a few events. In one such promotional activity, Aamir accompanied Junaid on the Bigg Boss 18 finale, where they shot a fun sequence with the show's host, Salman Khan. Aamir and Salman's appearance together after so long was admired by fans, but so one cheeky remark from Junaid about his father's ex-wives grabbed attention. In a recent interview, Junaid expressed his regret over the same.
Junaid Khan stayed away from the media glare until he debuted in 2024. He made his first appearance on Bigg Boss 18 with co-star, Khushi Kapoor on January 19, 2025. On the show, his father, Aamir and Salman Khan played a fun game and shared anecdotes from their decades-old friendship. Their rare on-screen banter during the game was loved by the audiences who got to see the Andaz Apna Apna actors together after a long time.
However, Junaid made a comment that Salman might find cuss words from his father's ex-wives on his phone. It was taken in a playful context during the show but later made headlines. In a recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, Junaid mentioned that he could have been more considerate of his words since there were two more senior actors on the show who share a close friendship. He admitted that he usually doesn't make such comments and made that joke in a playful spirit. Consequently, no one took offence, but maybe it wasn't appropriate. Sharing his regret, Junaid said:
"I mean, maybe it was a little out of place. No, I mean they're both very, very senior actors, so I think I should have behaved maybe a little more... you know, like you generally do."
During the fun banter on the reality TV show, Aamir Khan and Salman Khan played a fun game to check each other's messages that is the theme of Loveyapa. While playing the game Aamir began reading Salman's messages, and his funny expressions left everyone in splits. Later, the Dabangg actor refused to do the same and said he would only find messages from Aamir Khan's ex-wives, Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao at the most. Aamir joked that Salman had no hope with him, creating a light-hearted moment. To his, Junaid urged Salman to read his father's messages and quipped:
"Toh do-do ex-wives ki gaaliyan padh paoge aap."
Junaid Khan completed his training in acting in America and began his journey in the industry as an assistant director. He debuted with Siddharth P Malhotra's directorial, Maharaj co-starring Shalini Pandey and Sharvari. Next, he is set for his theatrical debut with Advait Chandan's Loveyapa with Khushi Kapoor. The film will be released on February 7, 2025, before Valentine's week. The actor also has a film with Sai Pallavi in the pipeline.
