Raj Babbar married iconic theatre actress, Nadira in 1975, and they welcomed two kids, Arya Babbar and Juhi Babbar. Unfortunately, the couple decided to part ways around 1982 or 1983 when cracks started appearing in their marriage. During his separation from Nadira, Raj was also in contact with Smita Patil, whom he had met on the sets of their film, Bheegi Palkein in 1980, which was released in 1982. As per reports back then, Smita and Raj's love was reportedly the reason behind the latter's decision to leave his first wife, Nadira.

Raj Babbar and Smita Patil got married in 1983, and it came as a shock to the entire film industry. The couple faced much backlash, as Nadira labelled the iconic actress 'Homebreaker'. However, as time passed, the storm was settled, and in 1986, Raj and Smita welcomed their first and only child, a baby boy whom they had named Prateik Babbar. Unfortunately, while giving birth to Prateik, Smita died due to childbirth complications at the mere age of 31.

After Smita Patil's tragic demise, Raj Babbar returned to Nadira, and she accepted him with open arms, it was a big shock to everyone. In the meantime, Prateik Babbar grew up with his maternal grandmother. Due to his father's return to Nadira and their kids, Arya Babbar and Juhi Babbar, a big gap was formed between Prateik and Raj Babbar. Fast forward to 2025, Prateik Babbar tied the knot for the second time with Priya Banerjee on February 14, and neither Raj Babbar, Nadira Babbar, Arya Babbar, nor Juhi Babbar attended the wedding.

In a conversation with The Times Of India, Juhi Babbar clearly stated that her step-brother, Prateik Babbar is surrounded by people who have influenced him and distanced the actor from the Babbar family. Juhi also ended speculations of a rift between the Babbar family and Prateik's second wife, Priya Banerjee, by calling her a 'wonderful girl'.

As a result, Juhi Babbar is leading all the headlines after Prateik and Priya's wedding as she is the first person from the Babbar family to open up about the family's absence from Prateik's wedding. Juhi Babbar is a renowned Indian film actress who has worked with many renowned filmmakers. The actress made her acting debut in Bollywood with the film, Kash Aap Hamare Hote, which was released in 2003. In the following years, she appeared in films like Yaaran Naal Baharan, Aiyaary, Faraaz, Farrey, and many more. Juhi Babbar made her television debut with the show, Ghar Ki Baat Hai. Not only this but just like her mother, Nadira, Juhi has worked in a series of theatre productions. In 2010, she received the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Rashtriya Puraskar for contributing to Indian arts and theatre.

Moving on to Juhi's personal life, she got married to famous screenwriter, Bejoy Nambiar on June 27, 2007, after dating each other for two years. The ex-couple never opened up about the reasons behind their decision to part ways only after almost two years of their wedding in January 2009. After her divorce from Bejoy Nambiar, Juhi crossed paths with famous actor, Anup Soni, and the two quickly formed a bond with each other. The couple met for the first time while working on Juhi's mother, Nadira's theatre production.

Anup and Ritu got divorced in 2010, and she openly stated that the reason behind their divorce was her husband's proximity to Juhi. It was on March 14, 2011, when Anup Soni and Juhi Babbar got married and it confirmed reports about his extra-marital affair. In 2012, Anup and Juhi became parents of a son, whom they had named Iman.
