Who Is Podcaster Jordy Glassner Died At 34? Fought Brain Cancer, Survived By Husband And A Young Son

Jordy Glassner was a famous podcaster who was also a therapist. The beautiful lady, who gave a tough fight to an aggressive brain tumour, died on January 13, 2026, at the young age of 34. She was survived by her husband and a young son. Jordy gave a tough fight to cancer, and she passed away at her home peacefully. 

Who was Jordy Glassner?

Jordy Glassner was a co-host of her podcast, Grief Street. She was known for documenting her journey with glioblastoma, a terminal brain cancer. Jordy was diagnosed with the aggressive form of brain cancer in 2023. She started her own podcast with her friend, Erica Rozmid (with whom she had a three-decade-long friendship), who is a psychologist and experienced late-term pregnancy loss in 2024. They discussed their experience of loss and grief with the guests and opened up about their own experiences, too. The two would share weekly podcast episodes until October 2025.

Jordy Glassner's death

On January 13, 2025, Jordy passed away at the age of 34 at her home. The statement about her death was made public by her family on January 14, 2025. A beautiful picture of Jordy with her son was posted on her Instagram handle. The family shared that Jordy passed away peacefully at her home and that she was simply the best. The statement could be read as:

"It is with profound sadness that we share that on Tuesday afternoon, Jordy Glassner passed away peacefully at her home. She was simply the best. In lieu of private messages, we encourage everyone near and far to share any stories, memories, or words about Jordy in the comments. Everyone deserves to know how much she meant to the world."

After Jordy's death was made public, Erica Rozmid shared a tribute message for her. She shared how there will never be enough words that could describe the pain of losing her best friend. She talked about the journey they had witnessed in the last 2.5 years. She shared how she was robbed of raising her children alongside hers. Rozmind added that Jordy was with her since they were five years old. She shared how badly she wants to call her and ask her if she was supposed to survive this life without her. She wrote:

"There will never be enough words to describe the pain of losing my person- or for the heartbreak of watching GBM take so much from her over the last 2.5 years. I was robbed of raising my children alongside hers. I have never known a big life moment without Jordy. She’s been there since we were 5 years old, walking me to the nurse’s office. All I want is to call her and ask how I’m supposed to survive this life without her. I miss my person deeply."

Jordy Glassner's battle with brain cancer

It was in August 2023 that Jordy revealed that she had been dealing with episodes of arm weakness and numbness for several weeks. However, one day in August, she faced the numbness longer than usual, and that's when her gut feeling told her that she was dealing with something serious. After which, she decided to get herself checked, and that's when she found out about her brain tumour. She revealed that it is a reminder that the body knows when something is not right, and trusting the gut could be the best option. In her Instagram post, she had written:

“On August 22nd, something felt different – the numbness lingered longer than usual. Call it intuition or a gut feeling, but I knew I had to take it seriously. I decided to go to the ER, just to be safe. After a CT scan and an MRI, the unexpected news came – I had a brain tumor. It was a shock, to say the least. But it’s a reminder that our bodies know when something’s not right. Trusting your gut can lead you down the right path."

Jordy further explained that she underwent surgery right after it, and the entire tumour was removed. She shared that she was recovering and that each day looked like a blessing. However, Jordy's happiness didn't last long. After receiving the biopsy results, she found that she had grade IV glioblastoma. It was the most shocking news she received at the age of 31, as she had no previous health risks or complications. Jordy had hope that she would be one of those rare ones who would beat the cancer.

After giving a tough fight to brain cancer for two years, Jordy passed away. Our heartfelt condolences to her family.
