Joe Flacco's trade from the Cleveland Browns to the Cincinnati Bengals has been right up there among the biggest moments of the 2025 NFL season. No one at the start of the season could predict that the 40-year-old would be traded to the Bengals, a team which he had treated as a 'prime rival' during his eleven seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. There's no denying that it is a 'short-term gamble' by the Bengals, which they had to take due to their struggling offence after Joe Burrow's injury.
The Cleveland Browns' decision to make way for youngsters by trading off a leader like Joe Flacco has become a topic of mass discussion on the internet, while Cincinnati Bengals supporters are keeping their fingers crossed. Flacco made his debut for the Bengals in the 2025 NFL season on October 12 against the Green Bay Packers in an away match. The veteran quarterback's home debut at Paycor Stadium against the Pittsburgh Steelers gained significant attention because it featured another NFL veteran, Aaron Rodgers.
When the Cincinnati Bengals hosted the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was only the third time in NFL history that two quarterbacks over age 40 started against each other. While Joe Flacco is 40, Aaron Rodgers is 41, and Cameron Heyward nicknamed the clash "Icy Hot Bowl". Apart from all the buzz around Flacco's trade to the Bengals, his wife, Dana Grady, played a vital role in helping him learn the Bengals' playbook.
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, Joe Flacco, lauded his wife, Dana Grady, for her efforts and admitted that she even had an unexpected "play-calling rhythm". Flacco only had four days before his first game for the Bengals, and the way his wife sat with him in the hotel and quizzed him by reading out plays clearly speaks to why they're still going strong even after being together for more than a decade. Now, without further ado, let's dive into their love story, which is nothing less than a Hollywood movie.
Joe Flacco is married to Dana Grady, who was born on February 24, 1985, in Audubon, New Jersey. The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback was also born in the same place, on January 16, 1985. Joe and Dana met for the first time at Audubon High School. After graduating from high school in 2003, they went to the University of Delaware and continued their relationship. While Joe went on to make his career as a professional footballer, Dana started working as an X-ray technician.
