The actress's longtime boyfriend and actor-comedian, Jimmy Tatro, got down on one knee, and apparently, the fans are the last ones to know. The news has still left their fans elated, and they cannot wait for their favourite actress to be a real-life bride.

Zoey Deutch and Jimmy Tatro have been secretly engaged for months

Zoey Deutch and Jimmy Tatro are all set to hop on the forever boat! The Set It Up actress shared pictures from her dreamy proposal on Instagram on September 28, 2025 (ET) and revealed she had been engaged for far longer. In the adorable post, Zoey shared that it has been three months since Jimmy got down on one knee, suggesting that the proposal happened somewhere around June 2025. She captioned the pictures of their cosy beach proposal:

"Three months engaged to the love of my life."

The pictures were straight out of a dreamy book-tok proposal, featuring a romantic picnic with a blanket, pillows, lanterns, and white florals, before getting down on one knee in the sand. Jimmy appeared to pop the question with a large cushion-cut diamond on a simple gold band, which she proudly showed off in an adorable selfie. Jimmy definitely made sure to make the proposal simple, special and intimate for his lady love.

Zoey Deutch and Jimmy Tatro's friends were beyond thrilled for the pair, who went public with their romance on Valentine's Day in 2021. The Riverdale actress, Lili Reinhart, shared her best wishes with the couple, writing, "Congratulations, beautiful angel!!" Vanessa Hudgens added, "Sooo happy for yooooou." Camila Morrone, Busy Philipps, Julianne Hough and Maude Apatow also shared their congratulations on social media.

While Zoey Deutch and Jimmy Tatro are deeply in love with each other, that doesn't mean they see eye-to-eye on everything. In fact, the actress previously admitted that they're very different people. In an interview with Betches U Up? back in 2022, Zoey shared that she and Jimmy could not have been any more different, which is why she absolutely adores him. She was quoted as saying:

"I would be so bored if I were dating someone who agreed with me on everything and thought everything in the same way as me—I’d be so bored by that. I mean, I am currently with someone who is my actual polar opposite."

The Theatre Camp actor also called Zoey his 'favourite person' in a birthday tribute the same year, i.e. in 2022. As the couple prepares to head down the aisle, they needn't look far for role models of a long-lasting marriage. After all, Zoey's parents have been married for over 35 years.
