Yi Zhou's accusations against Jeremy Renner have left the world in shock. The couple who were making headlines for dating rumours only last month, and now her accusations have created a wave of shock and confusion among the netizens. So, what went down between Renner and Zhou that has led the actress-filmmaker to make such serious claims?

Jeremy Renner was accused of threatening to "call ICE" on his filmmaking partner, Yi Zhou, and sharing "unsolicited explicit images" with her. It all began when Zhou had invited the Hawkeye actor to be a part of her documentary, Chronicles of Disney, and the AI-animated feature, Stardust Future, earlier in 2025. By October 2025, the duo was in the news for their alleged romance. However, it was in November 2025 that it took a sharp turn.

Yi Zhou took to her social media handle and shared how she has been keeping something from her fans and the world. The actress revealed that Jeremy Renner reached out to her in June 2025 and shared intimate pictures of himself. She was quoted as saying:

"It is with deep regret, sadness, and disappointment that I am compelled to share a truth I have been holding inside for too long. Mr Renner first contacted me directly in June, sending personal and intimate photographs of himself, behavior that, according to public reports, he has exhibited before."

While Jeremy Renner did not address the allegations. The Chinese actress and filmmaker's accusations left everyone in shock. In October 2025, Yi Zhou told The Daily Mail that she was dating Renner. However, she later claimed that he denied their relationship and refused to publicly promote the two films that they worked on together.

Zhou addressed the misconduct in her social media post and even shared screenshots of their WhatsApp conversations with the publications. She even accused Renner of threatening to call immigration on her. She was quoted as saying:

"When I called him out privately about his past misconduct and asked him to behave properly, to respect me as a woman and as a filmmaker, he threatened to call immigration/ICE on me, an act that deeply shocked and frightened me. No woman, filmmaker, or creative should have to work under such emotional and psychological pressure while trying to protect her name and the integrity of her work."

Yi Zhou also told the Daily Mail that Jeremy Renner got extremely drunk during one of their meetings. She revealed that the meeting was about the Disney Chronicles in August 2025. However, after getting drunk, he got violent and angry, and she had to lock herself in a room, scared for her life.

Jeremy Renner was previously accused of abusive behaviour by ex-wife, Sonnie Pacheco

Jeremy Renner, who survived a near-fatal snowplow accident in Tahoe in 2023, was previously accused of abusive behavior by his ex-wife, Sonnie Pacheco. The Canadian actor and model was married to Renner for 10 months before filing for divorce at the end of 2014. The duo got in a heated battle with Pacheco over the custody of their daughter, Ava, in 2019. Pacheco accused Renner of threatening to kill her and himself, alleging that the actor fired a gun inside their home while Ava was in another room.
