Jayati Bhatia Reacts To Co-Star Dipika Kakar's Liver Tumour Diagnosis, 'Tennis Ball Is A Very Big..'

Television fans were left heartbroken after the news of Dipika Kakar’s liver tumour diagnosis surfaced online. The actress, best known for her role as ‘Simar’ in Sasural Simar Ka, has been diagnosed with a tumour the size of a tennis ball, as described by her husband and TV actor, Shoaib Ibrahim. Among the many voices praying for her speedy recovery is her former co-star and on-screen mother-in-law, Jayati Bhatia, who shared an emotional message of support.

Jayati Bhatia reacts to Dipika Kakar’s tumour diagnosis

In an interview with Tellymasala, Jayati Bhatia reacted to her on-screen bahu, 'Simar', a.k.a Dipika’s, tumour diagnosis. The actress shared that she came to know about Dipika’s health after seeing Shoaib’s YouTube vlog, and was shocked after hearing the size of the tumour. She said:

"When I woke up, I saw Shoaib’s Instagram story and clicked on the link. I saw his vlog where he looked quite distressed, and after listening to him, I was shocked. Main ghabra gayi…when he revealed that my Simar (Dipika) is not keeping well, and the scans, tests showed a tennis ball-sized tumour in her liver. Tennis ball is a very big tumour, it is very big."

Jayati wondered about the extent of pain Dipika must have gone through for so many days when the tumour was growing inside her, but she’s glad that it has been diagnosed at the right time. The Sasural Simar Ka actress also revealed that she had reached out to both Dipika and Shoaib, and they responded to her as well. Jayati shared:

"I don’t know how she managed to bear the pain and how she was feeling with that tumour for so many days. But I’m relieved that they have learnt about the tumour at the right time. Shoaib has mentioned in his vlog that Dipika will be undergoing surgery… I’ve messaged both Dipika and Shoaib. I didn’t want to disturb them by calling them... I told them I’m praying, and everything will be fine. I’m sending my energy, good vibes, blessings and wishes to them… both Shoaib and Dipika replied to my message… Dipika is a good child, a good soul. Aur usne hamesha dusron ke baare mein bhala he socha hai...So sab accha hi hoga."

Shoaib Ibrahim announces Dipika Kakar’s liver tumour diagnosis

Earlier this week, Shoaib Ibrahim shared the shocking health update on his YouTube channel, sharing that after complaining of stomach pain for some time, scans revealed a large tumour in the left lobe of Dipika’s liver, almost as big as a tennis ball. As of now, initial results have shown no signs of malignancy, but they are still awaiting a few crucial reports for confirmation. Sharing that surgery is unavoidable in this case, Shoaib said:

“The blood test reports came, which indicated that she had an infection in her body. Our doctor asked us to visit again, and when we met him, he asked us to do a CT scan, and it showed that Dipika has a tumour in the left lobe of her liver. It is bigger in size, like a tennis ball. It was very shocking for us… Thankfully, none of the results so far have shown any signs of cancer… But haan, Dipika ke liver mein tumour hai, she will undergo surgery… Please pray for her health.”
