This time was no different, as Jaya was seen in an angry mood when she stepped out with Amitabh Bachchan to cast her vote. The veteran actress was seen annoyed after being surrounded by paparazzi outside the polling station.
On May 20, 2024, Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan stepped out together to cast their votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha election. Big B donned a white kurta pyjama set with a cream-hued Nehru jacket whereas Jaya opted for a white-hued salwar suit with a matching dupatta. She also sported dark sunglasses. In a viral video, we can see Jaya giving a death stare to the paparazzi as she walked towards her car. Her husband, Amitabh, sensed that she was uncomfortable in the crowd, so he held her tightly and helped her sit in the car.

Jaya Bachchan's angry attitude didn't go down well with the netizens, and they started slamming the actress. Many pointed out how Amitabh Bachchan was handling his wife in the crowd and bashed the actress for her unnecessary arrogance. A user penned, "Amitabh Bachchan be like isko lekar kaha aagaya main yaha." Another commented, "Angry women in the whole world." Meanwhile, a third user wrote, "Why media is Covering her... stop giving importance to her."

In an interview with Times Now, Jaya Bachchan was asked if she doesn't like to be over-friendly with people. Responding to this, the veteran actress shared that she loves to show her affection and a little hug can easily win her over. However, Jaya added that she goes cold with a person whom she doesn't like. In her words:
"I love outward demonstrations of affection. A sincere hug can win me over for a lifetime. But I can't be that way with everyone. I can get very cold with people I don't like."
