Veteran actress, Jaya Bachchan studied at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. She has been in the Hindi film industry for many decades and has proven her mettle in acting with films like Zanjeer, Guddi, Abhimaan, etc. Jaya made her acting debut as a teenager in Satyajit Ray's Bengali film, Mahanagar in 1963. And later, she became a popular face in the Hindi film industry.
Back in 1972, Jaya Bachchan was featured in Filmfare magazine, wherein the actress unleashed her poetic side and penned a poem about cabbage. Well, not just this, Jaya also used the vegetable as an accessory. Reecntly, a Reddit user shared the vintage picture on social media and left everyone in nostalgia. Dressed in a beautiful lavender-hued saree featuring floral embroidery, she looked stunning. The actress flashed her brightest smile as she posed with a cabbage, while some leaves were placed on her shoulders and head. The poem read:

“My heart is like a cabbage Divided into two The leaves I give to others The heart I give to you.”

The vintage picture from the magazine is now going viral online, and it's simply unmissable. Reacting to the post, netizens wrote some hilarious comments and even compared Jaya's tactics to that of Sara Ali Khan’s fun poetic banters. One user wrote, “Kyunki Jaya bhi kabhi Sara thi”, and another one commented, “Jayaji, ye koi jagah hai patta ghobhi rakhne ka!” Meanwhile, a third user wrote, “Rare to see her smiling”.

Jaya Bachchan often hits the headlines for her encounters with the media on several occasions. Jaya's hatred towards the paparazzi culture is not hidden from anyone, as she feels that the shutterbugs are trying to intrude in her personal life. For instance, on October 5, 2022, the paparazzi spotted Jaya with her son, Abhishek Bachchan, at the Mumbai airport.
